Request from Elise
I shall fight with Honor for without honor there is no victory.

I shall be loyal and fulfill my duties for my home, my superiors, and the Order. I shall be faithful and never betray my beliefs. I shall not fear the trials that await me, for fear is the enemy of the mind. I shall be truthful and never lie unless my life depends upon it. I shall have hope and seed it in the hearts of my people and my companions. I shall be good and merciful with all those who deserve my kindness.

This I swear forevermore. May the virtues of the Silver Order remain impregnable so long as my heart beats in my chest and my blood flows through my veins. So mote it be.

First Grandmaster, I would like to join your prestigious Order. I believe it resonates with my morals and very being, and I would be honored if you would take my oath and allow me to become an oath knight.

Respectfully,

Elise Surcliffe

The old paladin then smiles at the woman and says in his strong and slightly rough voice.

Then rise Knight Elise and spread the tenets of this Order through your actions and words, each and every single day. They give us strength to never falter and press for victory even in the darkest battles. Though small at the moment my dream is to see halls of the Order spread through each province of Dwilight, with at least a small group of dedicated nobles in every realm of the continent, and to see it all acting together as one guardian that will defend what is right all over the land. Being one the first knights to join the Order, you shall also be seriously considered to the command of the Order of the Sword as its Grandmistress. He then turns back and walks towards a room to the right, he quickly returns with a sword in hand and a black cloak with the silver symbol of the Order. And here is your sword my young knight, I can guarantee you shall never find finest blades in the world, the ancient techniques of smithing from the Hall of Blood and Battle added to my own discoveries in forging make them unique, your cloak is also here. He then handed both to her and after a brief pause, he spoke again. A full set of armor is also ready for you in the armory, you can take it whenever you want or stay with yours, many nobles are a bit too proud to exchange their armors and some even refuse the swords, but I don't recommend that.

This is it, we have a long road ahead of us but the fruits of our work will be worth every sacrifice we make.

Elise lithely rose from her kneeling position, her eyes glittering with intensity as she bowed her head respectfully towards the Grandmaster, his words flowing over her like a shining river. It was not every day that one received such a chance to join an Order that perfectly fit their personal philosophy, and she had been rather enthralled with the idea of the Silver Order from soon after Count Telamond had first announced its foundation. It had taken a bit of work to receive a short leave of absence to make the trip to Duil, however Elise knew it was most definitely worthwhile. Here in the silvered halls of the Order, she felt the thrall of ethics and convictions more tightly than ever, and it was both breathtaking and stirringly daunting. The task at hand was a great one, and she was glad to be able to give her ideals a name and title finally. To take up such a great cause was more than she could have hoped for.

The glint of light on polished metal was brilliant in the room, and Elise stared in awe towards the sword that was proffered, blade glowing softly like pearlescent moonlight. Slowly, with no small amount of reverence, she stepped forward to grip the sturdy handle. With the sword in hand, and her cloak held in the other, she bowed deeply to the Grandmaster Telamond. Her face glowing with pure emotion, cheeks flushing in youth she murmured intently, "Sir, I thank you for such an honor. I swear on this sword and my oath to the Silver Order that I shall forever preserve our ideals nigh past pain of death or whatever else this world may throw at us. May we prosper and grow to the far reaches of Dwilight so that all may be joined under such righteous and principled ideals."

When the ceremony was over, still flushed from the proceedings, Elise cast one last glance about the shinning ceremonial room, imprinting the glowing vision into her mind knowing that such an image would give strength to her resolve when needed. She had to hurry and regroup with the Austere Order, but this detour had succeeded in revitalizing her soul. This was what people were meant for, not the wars and petty squabbles of life but the honorable path towards compassion and the choice of good over evil. That there were still such clean things in the world was enough, and Elise would do whatever she could to preserve this beacon of integrity.

Telamond sat in the simple and yet still beautiful silver chair in the main hall, the chair of the Grandmaster, and smiled happily as he watched the squires of the lower nobility, all young and overjoyed with the fact that they too joined the Order, and the Grandmaster lost himself in his thoughts. "Righteousness seems such a beautiful dream in youth, it grows on their hearts and leads them to great heights, only a few like me and Constantine retain our devotion when we get older, its such a pity, but I shall trust in our youth, I shall trust Channing and Elise to be faithful, I can see it in their eyes, after all I am just but one mortal man, they are the future, and one day another will take my seat and fight for what I stood for through all my life, I had far more defeats than victories and that still haunts me, but I learned with my mistakes with my foolishness and I swear to myself that I won't let them commit the same errors when their time comes..."
