Background

I had spent the last 2 Months in Norjke fighting all sorts of Monsters & Undead creatures, but there where still many more in the region.

Often I had come across particularly large groups of monsters, each time lead but an uncharacteristically large and intelligent beast. But each time I made quick work of them with my new Broadsword.

After many weeks of fighting & hunting, I came upon a particularly large group of monsters, and their Leader stood at the Center, a terribly Ugly Beast. I felt no fear, for I knew what I had to do.

I fought and one by one they fell, they were mere meat before my Blade.

At the end it was just me and their Leader. He was easily twice my size and was brandishing a large Spiked Mace in one hand & strangely a Huge Tower Shield in the other.

We fought for hours, I dodged and parried, and struck at him with ever move I had, but could not get past his defenses. He was beyond experienced with that Shield, it was almost a part of him. Though his skill with the Mace was not as good & it did not require too much effort on my part to keep his strikes at bay, though my arm was beginning to weary. As though his strikes lacked skill, they still retained all the Strength behind them I expected from a creature his size.

Eventually he made a mistake and was able to make a strike at the Beasts leg which causing him to drop to one knee. Immediately I moved forward & raised my Sword & then brought it down in one final powerful strike. The Best raised his shield in defense & any leaser sword would have been turned aside, but my 'Emerald-Studded Broadsword of Bloodletting' clove right through the shield & embedded itself in the creatures Skull, killing him instantly.

After a freeing my blade, I went through the assorted items scattered around the Monsters crude camp. Along with many common items, most in dire need of repair, I noticed one item, a suite of Plate Mail armor. It was muddied & dirty, but still perfect condition & the metal still seemed to shine through all the dirt covering it. After a quick cleaning I added the suit to my belongings & continued my hunting.

I would eventually find a Sage and discover the name of this Unique Armour, the Sturdy Plate Mail from the North.
