Stratford
Stratford is a lush and bountiful rural region in the northeastern portion of Dwilight. Forming part of the southern border of one of the larger realms of the continent, the Kingdom of Springdale, Stratford is bordered by Cortland to the northeast, Yaren to the north and Bohai, of the realm of Morek, to the west. The southern border of Stratford is a peninsula of land, surrounded by water. To the east is the great Ocean and to the west, a sheltered body of water, not so cleverly named the Bay of The East. This peninsula is also the location of the Manor house of the region's lord.
Lush fields support a multitude of wildlife that can be easily hunted for both sport and sustenance. In addition, hundreds upon thousands, of hectares of land here have been used for food cultivation and farming. This constitutes the majority of the peoples income and occupations. Warehouses, storehouse and grain silos freckle the countryside, allowing the fruits of the peasantry's labors to be safely stored for use as needed. Hunting and fishing also produce a great deal of gold and goods for the region, supplementing a regional economy bereft of mineral resources.
Religion has not truly taken hold here yet, and most of the people still hold true to the older pagan beliefs and folklore that have dominated this continent for so long. Rumors constantly circulate about lost temples and religious holy sites, but there has been no definitive evidence either way.
