Finding
Monsters were roaming freely in the countryside of Poryatu, and the populacy was living in fear. The advy was worried, for the monsters might form a horde soon, and that was her land, it was her father who would be at risk. Tracking down some monsters path, Nina found a small horde of them. They were not hard to take down, but there was a leader, and he was strong against her blows. For a moment, the woman thought her dagger would not be able to cut through his hard skin, but when he turned, preparing for a potent blow with a heavy rock, she managed to stab him under the ribs, and see him falling heavily to the ground. Piled up in a shallow hole nearby, lay the monster's loot. Nina managed to gather 13 silver coins, and under all the junk, a beautiful shield. How would she hide it before visiting her family, now that was the question. The Shield was not as shiny as it could (41% condition), so she might be able to disguise it as a fruit plate...

| After searching the area for 3 hours, following trails and noises, you finally encounter a small horde of monsters.
You notice that they have a leader, an alpha monster, a really big and ugly one, whatever you want to call it. The battle rages, you against the monsters. Your blows land true and you strike most of them down, while a few manage to flee. The big one is the last to fall, but after an exhausting fight you manage to take him down, too. In the lair of the big one, you find treasures worth a total of 1 gold, 1 silver. You also find a unique item among the loot, the "Splendid Shield of Reflection" |

Nina had four opportunities to repair the Splendid Shield of Reflection.

Events
Just after finding the Shield, Nina made a short stop at home.
She held it for some time, intent on selling it to a high noble of the realm, but soon she was able to find the Brilliant Chain Mail of the Maiden, item that would much better fit the Queen or maybe another councillor. Thus, she offered the Mail to the Council, and kept the shield for a bit longer, until she met Duke Proslyn and offered it to him, in exchange for protection against the Royal Arbitrator that seemed to ban commoners at the time.
Disappearance
As Nina left Pian lands and went to explore the west with adventurer Brandon, Duke Proslyn could not find another way to have his shield repaired. It eventually fell into pieces and was lost.
