General History
The Shadowbane family origins are found in Ser'quea of Ash Sea Islands with a young man named Valorian who's life history was mostly unknown. What little bit is known of his life is that he married a young woman name Denara and had two sons, Jerino and Finera, along with one daughter Eserna. Finera fell ill at the age of eight and passed on. Little is known of Eserna after her 15th birthday other than she married at the age of 17.
Jerino however is well documented and came to be the direct decedent of the current living family members when he married at 17 and later fathered a son at the age of 28. Having found success in the realm of blacksmithing, Jerino passed on his skills to his son, Valnor, who by the age of 20 was already making a slight name for himself among some of the lower nobles of Ser'quea.
At 22, Valnor took a wife, Holana. At 32 he fathered his first son, Somar. At 33 he fathered his second son, Valx. Continuing the tradition of blacksmithing both Somar and Valx learned the ways of the blacksmith from Valnor. However around the age of 18 Somar found that he had a yearning to take up one of the blades he had spent his life building and wield it upon the battle field. Deciding to follow his dream, he made himself a sword, saved up gold from repair jobs and sought out a training facility. With the support of his brother Valx, and his father Valnor Somar spent two years training, became a solder...and was stationed in the local militia of ser'quea. While not exactly what he had in mind, Somar went with it until he was 22, for it was then that he got his left arm shattered fighting off an undead hoard. While he survived, Somar found that it seriously hampered his ability to fight and thus resigned his commission from the militia. Returning home Somar married a woman named Alanna at the age of 24.
Meanwhile, Valx had married a woman named Trisna when he was 19. At 22 Trisna bore Valx his first child, a daughter whom they named Marina. A year later they had their first son, Terric. Two years after that Twins came into their lifes which they named Korvian, and Dragonis. That same year Somar and Alanna had a son whom they named Epoch.
Today the living family consists of Somar, his wife Alanna their son Epoch, Valx and his wife Trisna, their sons Terric, Korvian,and Dragonis, and their two daughters Marina and Namna. Somar and Valx continue their work as local blacksmiths. Terric went rouge at the age of 17 and has not been heard from since. Korvian, feeling the same as Somar once did took up arms and joined the Ash Sea Islands military. His attempts were more successful than those of his uncle. Following Korvian's footsteps was Dragonis who also joined the military. Epoch grew bored with the family homelands and felt that his place in the world lay elsewhere outside of ASI. Thus he chose to sneak aboard a ship bound for the Eastern Islands and found himself in Old Rancagua. After a bit of time with OR he found his true place in the newly created realm of Obsidian Islands where he now serves as a knight of Alvaret
