Servants of Jarbosh

Foolish mortals! Your impotent gods died long ago; it is I who hear your desperate prayers and answer with death! -Quote attributed to Jarbosh by his followers.

All serve the Deciever, but only some knowingly; or so say those mad men who are put to the question. Who, or what Jarbosh is exactly remains a mystery, but with the increasing number of half crazed cultists across the world preaching his name the situation is gaining notice.

Much of what has been collected on Jarbosh, and the self styled Servants, is contradictory, miraculous, or just simply impossible. In theory Jarbosh is a god, one who revels in chaos and death; and yet, there are accounts of direct conflict between what is supposed to be Jarbosh, and normal knights. This dicotomous existance of godhood and humanity is further confirmed by the actions of the Servants.

The Servants of Jarbosh, or just the Servants, or the Cult of the Mad God are much as any mad cult, they have strange practices, odd beliefs, and a tendency towards blood sacrifice. The Servants seem to exist on all continents as atonomous cells at best, and lone mad fanatics at worst, making it difficult to track their movements and deal with them. Regardless of where they live, Servants strive for the same things with fervur, chaos, death, suffering and pain. The strange unity of the cult even across boarders or continents apart with no centralized athority or doctrin is a worry prospect. Sadly the Cult of the Mad God has little to no regard for their own lives, gladly dying or killing, in the name of their master.

Despite their desire to bring chaos, or maybe because of it, the Servants prefer to keep to the perifery of society and engage in covert operations to achieve their goals. Examples of such actions include the infamous Butter rebellion, the subjugation of Kalmar Island, the Charger rebellion and many others. So little is known, but as a sadly limited example the entire problem with the Kalmar islands came about because their master wished to search Chaos Temple unopposed for something yet unknown.

Efforts to oppose the Cult have ended poorly, with only short term gains leading to far reaching suffering once the greater organization realizes what has happened. Should they ever become truly organized good reader, the world shall know an age of bloodshed and darkness like never before.
