The Birth of a God

Montijo, in the middle of the chaos some days ago...

Night. Many pain wailings of death. Erik was kneeling beside an enemy soldier. The blood was in the poor soldier's throat and he implored.

Soldier: "Let me die with the sword in my hand..."

Erik caught the sword it dirties of blood. That soldier killed some Stormwalkers until the Lord arrive with the swords and rage. More deaths in Montijo.

Erik Eyolf: "Hold the sword, soldier. We will meet in the great hall. And we will drink together and we will battle. We will drink and we will struggle until the end of times..."

Erik lied down the sword in the soldier's chest and did that he held it. The Lord tilted the body in the soldier's direction and said in a prayer:

We came down

The rivers and roads

We came down from

Forests and falls

And I can tell you

The names of the Kingdom

I can tell you

The things that you know

Listening for a fistful of silence

Climbing valleys into the shade...

It was enough. When the song was finished, a dagger nail-and in the soldier's belly pulling him the life away. A last one mutters of life and death. The sky was dark and the thunders were impetuous. The crows were cawing, just waiting to pull off the eyes of the deads. Some soldiers were seeking dead friends. The healers were more concerned with the wounded. Erik just worried in smoking the pipe. He struggled against Fontan. He struggled against Undeads. Montijo was a stage for bloody battles and bizarre shows. Captain Karl had to gather the men because Erik was a long time walking among the deads, drinking, smoking and talking with the sky.

Talking with the sky...

Erik was walking among the deads. The pipe was hung in the corner of the mouth and the bottle of wine in the other hand. He was drunk, crazy and with the enemies' blood in the armor. Elune didn't speak to him in the last months. And was other voice that he heard in the middle of the thunders.

Erik Eyolf: "Who are you???"

Erik screamed for the dark sky and the great thunder answered.

Grandfather Thunder: "I am the Grandfather Thunder. I am the lightning and the thunder. The stormcrows are my eyes. The thunder is my voice! The storms is my anger. I am the dark sky. I am the Stormwalker!!! Elune sleeps in my arms when the storm arrives. And in my hall you will find the soldiers that you killed in battle. I am the wise and the powerful. I am the essence of war. The thunder that shakes the Creation. Kneel down and reverence my power!!!"

The sky shook and lit up with a powerful lightning. The sound echoed as a great explosion. Erik knelt down and prayed. And of his faith and of the Stormwalkers a new god was born. A god of death and war. A god of the thunder and of the crows. The Grandfather Thunder.
