Birth

Mordoc Selemnir is the eldest son of the late Godric. He was born in the Barony of Makar on the continent of Atamara where the family estates were located before they were moved to the southern regions. The first born, Mordoc is the heir to the title of Lord Selemnir (which he has now come into since Godric's passing). As the first born, Godric and Ophelia doted greatly on the infanct Mordoc, and many comment that he grew up as a spoled child, eager to anger when not pleased and spiteful of those deemed lower than him.

Early Life

Despite his poor attitude, Mordoc soon grew to be a man respected by those placed under his command. His skills as a fighter and field commander were honed fighting the viking clans of the region, and defending the family home. As his siblings were born and grew older, Mordoc grew restless, and was said to be distant and unfriendly to his young brothers and cousins. He revelled in his strengths, and found only weakness in others. He quickly grew anxious to depart his homeland and see what the rest of the world had to offer. Hearing of tales of adventure and honourable battle, Mordoc soon found himself on a ship to the fabled land of Belauterra, leaving his northern home for to his younger brothers, in search of adventure and fame.

Manhood

Mordoc's life has largely been one of turmoil and self doubt. The burden of living up to his father's name forced him from an early age to push himself to his limits, and seek a way to equal the deeds of his father. After arriving on the fabled shores of Belauterra, Mordoc was quickly accepted as a noble of the democratic realm of Mesh. This was his first taste of democracy, after having grown up in a tyrranical realm, and he soon found a niche for himself in their heirarchy as a soldier and able commander. However, his enjoyment of this new land land was shortlived, as soon after his arrival word of an undead and monster invasion spread from the north. The war would become known as the Second Undead Invasion.

Mordoc fought bravely alongside his newfound friends against the undead and monster scourge, but the realm soon found themselvves penned inside their capital city of Twillen. After months of fighting, and hundreds of fallen comrades and soldiers, friends of Mordoc began to notice that his mind had begun to slip. With every man he lost he found himself personally affected, as if a piece of himself had been died as well. His mental state began to worsen, and he could be seen ranting to himself on the ramparts of the city, waving his sword and cursing at something no one could see. Finally, Mordoc fought his last battle on the island, and his close friend Delwin, a young soldier who had been with Mordoc since he first left home, was killed. At this Mordoc snapped, and began to shriek at even the sight of a monster or undead. With the death of his childhood friend, one of the few childhood friends of which Mordoc could boast, he vowed to never again command troops as a soldier, unl;ess in last defense. He soon turned to a life of infiltration and sabotage, making friends with the shadows in place of his lost comrades. Seeing he could no longer help in their desperate fight, the nobles of Mesh bid Mordoc a fond farewll, and he departed.

Mordoc returned to Atamara to find that his families estates had been relocated to the south. Not wanting to live in the southern realms of Atamara, Mordoc pledged to the realm of Minas Ithil, where he began his training as an infiltrator. He quickly became quite skilled, and enjoyed a long stint as one of the realm's dedicated men of the shadows. However, on one failed mission, Mordoc found himself in the dungeons of the malicious Vos Estis, then Justicair of the infamous Southasland. In his dungeons Mordoc was tortured mercilessly, and his hand was maimed until usseless, ending his infiltration career. (Mordoc often hides his ruined right hand from sight, to spare people the sight.) He was able to eventually escape his capture, and returned to Minas Ithil to recover.

Unable to continue his work as a saboteur, Mordoc turned to the calming life of bureaucracy. He quickly became a skilled administrator, and his work was noticed by Duke Dante of York, resulting in his appointment as Count of Rotherthorpe. It was not long before he was largely given charge of the realm's beurocratic forces, helping to keep the kingdom organized in times of war and peace. His efforts were noticed by the King, and at the disappearance of Lord Broach, Mordoc was elected to the position of Arch Priest of Minas Ithil, which he still holds.

To this day Mordoc speaks very little of his time in Belauterra, beyond basic details. His life in Minas Ithil has calmed him some, and though he still seems to have reservations, he often commands troops into battle in defense of the realm. However, to this day he has never been involved in a battle against other men, and has made it a bit of a personal vendetta to fight undead and monsters when they plague the realm.
