House selemnir.jpg

House Selemnir was founded originally in the badlands of Lower Tell, in the cold northern regions of the continent of Atamara. It was established by Godric Selemnir, who travelled across the seas and settled in the north with a vast fortune of unknown origin. Godric spoke little of his birth, but he was soon reputed a caring liege lord and honourable man, repected by the peasants of his vast lands in Lower Tell. It was not long until hr forged his name in the blood of the viking clans that constantly harrassed their lands. On one particularly successful campaign, Godric took a viking blade in the side and decided to leave the fighting to his captains. Having fortune and renoun, he decided to settle. He soon took a wife from the local nobility, a one Lady Ophelia, who provided the Lord with a loving wife and a vast dowry.

Forty years and five children later, the family relocated itself far to the south of Atamara in the city of Riverholm, via Godric's nephew Feldric. Ophelia, with the guidance of a then young Lord Feldric (whose branch of the family held estates in Abington), decided to move the residence partly because of the constant war that had gripped their northern homeland, and partly because she wished to move herself and the now very elderly Lord Godric to a vast, warm southern city where they could live out their final days in comfort.

Since then, the family has continued to prosper, adding fame and wealth to their name. Their estates in Riverholm have expanded and become quite a large manse within the Abingtonian city. Sadly, the family now mourns the death of their patriarch, Lord Godric Selemnir, who has since passed peacefully in his sleep.

The House is split into two majour branches. The senior branch consists of all in Godric's direct line. The junior branch includes all of Fenwic's brood.
