This ancient artifact is believed to be related in some manner to the Maddening Star, one of the three Bloodstars of Sanguis Astroism. It was delivered by the daimon Haktoo to Allison Kabrinski, Grandmistress of Kabrinskia. Grandmistress Allison traded the Glowing Aegis of the Zuma to Haktoo in exchange for this Sceptre. Allison then gave the item into the care of Duke Brance Indirik, Regent of Sanguis Astroism, on behalf of the church of Sanguis Astroism. The authenticity of the item has yet to be verified.
In discussions with Haktoo, the daimon revealed that the item was made long ago by the denizens of Balance's Retreat. It has been sitting in the vaults of Nightmarch for many, many years.
