Historical Issue

Unfortunately, the Sanguine Times has seen much reduced activity in the last year. New editors are dearly needed, and any who wishes to try his hand is welcome to contact the current editors to offer their help.

Nevertheless, the editors take their recording duties seriously. This issue is meant to safekeep historical knowledge, in the hopes that both heroic actions and mistakes made will never be forgotten. Articles are placed in roughly chronological order.

The Thulsoman War

For much time now, Thulsoma and the Theocracies of Sanguis Astroism lived in peace alongside one another. However, Priestess Elsebeth of the Libero Empire was arrested while passing through Thulsoma. This single event caused an uproar within the Church and the Libero Empire took immediate military action. In the first battle, the Thulsomans managed to hold off their capitol from attackers. During this battle, General Seijida was captured by Thulsoma.

The Resolution in Aquilegia

Before the long series of rebellions in Aquilegia, Aquilegia was at war with Xinhai, due to the fact that Aquilegians removed Vesuvis and Vos from power in the regions and Flowrestown and Flow, respectively. In more recent events, Aquilegia has agreed on a peace treaty with Xinhai and a ceasefire with Aurora. The terms of the peace treaty were to allow Vesuvis and Vos back into power. The Aquilegians dutifully agreed to these terms, seeing how this would put an end to the war that was holding them back from prospering and expanding their borders. With this treaty, also comes food aid from Xinhai, that will end the starvation in the Aquilegian capitol Flowrestown.

Conflict in D'Hara

Fighting three wars at once, and losing their two traders to illness both led up to the events that plague the realm of D'Hara at the moment. Due to starvation and poor realm control, the city of Port Raviel has switched hands to Caerwyn. Although this created conflict quickly, Caerwyn, too, could not maintain the region, and it thus fell into the hands of Corsanctum. The church is mostly in favor of attempting to hold the region with military force, but an official decision is yet to come. Times reporters will continue to monitor the conflict and bring in depth news reports.

Scriptural Writing of the Week

But to those of us coming from the East, with our greater minds, our superior wisdom, our vastly better developed understanding of logic and complex reasoning, to us perhaps the Auspicious Star is a more closely melded companion.

-Mathurin Hossenfeffer, Holy Prophet
