In the spring of the year 2010 the Enweilian nobles have led their belligerent forces to Elloranaal, looting the peasant hovels, destroying the fields and killing the population. Further down the south the allied host of Dominion of Alluran and Riombara has been gathering for a couple of days, ready to repel the invaders. On friday morning when the grass was wet by dew and the sun shone high above the darkness of the invaders, the allied host began to march to one of the largest of battles of the Second Great War. A battle that is to be known as the Battle of Thousand Swords.
Crossing the mountains, crossing the fields, the allied host poured down to Elloranaal like a glowing sword of justice and fortitude. Gathering the knights across the South they brought over 2,000 men to face the 1,500 Enweilian warriors. The battle began with a long range archer volleys of the allied host, followed by the infantry and cavalry iron charge. The outnumbered Enweilian troops did not manage to hold their ranks before that charge, and their resolve was broken with many of them fleeing to the sea or to the rogue city of Jidington. The day was not over yet, as the hunting battues were organized to chase off and hunt the troops of Enweil, and drive them out of fields of Elloranaal forever. The encounter has ended dramatically for Enweil as they have lost their entire southern regiment, while the allied host had only insignificant losses with many warriors healing the next day.

Strategic Overview: Why exactly did Enweil choose to pursue such a thoughtless strategy has not yet been fully understood. The military experts of the South justify Enweil's defeat with inexperienced leadership of their military which is accompanied by complete underestimation of their enemies and utter carelessness. Enweil charged in assured that none can stop them, yet the discipline of the allied host was remarkably high that day. Once Enweil entered Elloranaal, a region with a difficult natural access, it is assumed that their General realized that his armies were trapped and surrounded, with no quick way out and without a covered rear. Thus, it is assumed that he chose to remain in Elloranaal and rally all the force he has, hoping to make use of his enemies' coordination difficulties, which, as has been displayed, he assumed wrongly.
The Battle of Thousand Swords opened up many possibilities for the enemies of Enweil. Both the south and the north of their Empire was vulnerable and their enemies' strength only sligthly reduced. Whether this has been the crucial battle that will mark the beginning of the end of the Enweilian hegemony remains to be seen, yet many are assured that it is indeed so.
