Basic Beliefs

The Church of Rancagua rests on the premise that there is only one God, the Lord. His true name must never be written, but He may be referred to as “God,” “Lord,” or “Him.” The second premise of the Church follows from the first: the Lord is OMNIA. That is, the Lord is everything. All things flow from the Lord. Evidence of the Lord’s pervasiveness may be seen all around us. From the five fingers on your hand to your five senses to the five celestial spheres, five and OMNIA repeat everywhere. Thusly, the Lord has five primary attributes. They are (in Latin, then English): Pax, Lux, Fortis, Veritas, and Omnia (Peace, Light, Strength, Truth, and Everything). The attributes are always capitalized and are generally referred to as His Peace, etc. While each of these attributes is equally important, different ones may be emphasized at different times. Upon going into righteous battle, it is common to call upon the Lord to lend His Strength, for example.

Dominus Lux est

The Lord is Light. He illuminates everything and allows all of us to see. This Light and goodness flow from Him.

Dominus Veritas est

The Lord is Truth. The Lord is the Lord of Honour. He speaks no falsehood and neither should his adherents. In all things, seek to speak only His Truth.

Dominus Pax est

The Lord is Peace. In all things, the Lord desires Peace. The ultimate goal of all activity should be peaceful co-existance with your fellows. One should avoid conflict at all reasonable costs.

Dominus Fortis est

The Lord is Strength. Sometimes called His Might, the Lord's Strength protects Him and His faithful. Just because the Lord believes in Peace does not mean he will allow His people to be hurt. The best preserver of His Peace is to maintain and use His Strength when it becomes necessary, but only when it becomes so. When some infidel is hitting you with a stick, you have every right to strike him and take it away.

Dominus Omnia est

Once again, the Lord is Everything. There is nothing that is not the Lord. The reiteration of Omnia as part of OMNIA further reinforces His infinte nature.

Iconography

The symbol of the Lord, His Church, and OMNIA is a five flared sun. Inscribed on one of the flares is the image of the same five flared sun--once again showing the recursively infinte nature of the Lord. Each member of the Church wears a bronze version of this medallion around their neck. The image of the Sun appears on all Rancaguan coinage.
