The grasslands of Qhunomite are kept green throughout the year by western winds that bring clouds from the ocean. Far from any major cities, the people here live a quiet peaceful life. Small hamlets dot the plains where they keep their herds. The wool from the sheep is known far and wide for its high quality. While polite, the people generally keep to themselves at first but are generous and go out of their way to help their neighbors.

A small wood lies on the northern part of the region, full of tall cedars and oaks. Wild berries and mushrooms are gathered from the woods to add flavor to the food here. Wild boar are also spotted in the woods and during the summer are hunted as part of an annual festival.

A temple of The Living Earth was built by Count Yorick Sypher at the edge of the woods.

History of Qhunomite

Before Count Yorick, Lord Zeafurum Kelesthom served as Count of Qhunomite. However, no records have been found explaining the reasons for him no longer being the Count. Nor have documents been found showing who ruled the region between his time and that of Count Yorick.

Count Yorick Sypher was appointed the Lord of the region by the Chancellor of Mesh in the spring of '07. The region has represented the south-easternmost border of Mesh for some time except for the brief period when the city of Iato joined the realm. When Iato formed itself into a Monarchy, Qhunomite remained aan important road for merchants and travelers to the city.

During the most recent invasion of Undead, Monsters and Daimons the region fell to the depredations of the Daimons and the region was lost. As Mesh recovered from the ravages of the Daimons the region was freed from the Daimons who occupied the land and the region retaken. Yorick Sypher presented his claim to the region and was elected by his peers to become its lord once again.
