A republic seceded from Itorunt by Duke Hamilton Vita, a known madman. In its height of glory it contained Itorunt City, Noritor, and Priotness. The reasons for the secession by Duke Hamilton were numerous. Shortly before this report, Ibladesh had stormed the city. The whole time they sat in the city.

Protectorate

The realm was in turmoil the whole time. Early on Ryndhal, longest-serving member of Itorunt, ordered protests against Hamilton Vita. Hamilton Vita then ordered no protesting. Afterward, Ryndhal sought the seat of Imperial Inquisitor. Duke Hamilton offered it if peace could be brought with Ibladesh as he was trying to align their diplomatic stances to match Obsidian Islands' stances. His one difference was a declaration of war against Itorunt for Regina Morgana breaking her oath. He declared war with Sirion as Obsidian Islands was at war with them. Other realms were sent peace offers, but none were accepted.

Hamilton Vita declared a jousting tournament with 400 gold for first and second prize each. His purpose was, "In celebration of the new Protectorate of Obsidian Islands, the incredible horses of Itorunt City, the marriage of myself to Kaylan McDowell and the impending death of Caligus, I present a jousting tournament within Itorunt City!"

When Pontifex Sinted declared war upon POOI(E), Duke Vita appointed Ryndhal Nabarl as Imperial Inquisitor, but simultaneously exiled him as a compromise for him ordering the protest and failing to make peace with Ibladesh. Nathaniel de Grenefield(seriously wounded from being stabbed by a noble of the same realm) was appointed Imperial Protector. Shortly before the appointments, Countess Susanne von Lucker of Priotness betrayed her oath to join Ibladesh Duchy. Shortly after the appointments, Count Ulear of Noritor joined Ibladesh Duchy as well.

Epaminondas Cranioduro, long time rival of Hamilton Vita and only one to have had Hamilton Vita accept a death duel at this point in time, was hastily elected Imperial Inquistor. He planned to ban Hamilton Vita, foolishly knowing no one would dare assist him in banning a royal. Meanwhile, Nathaniel had disappeared. Duke Hamilton Vita was secluded(ooc: away from internet) in his estate while protests occurred(due to his insanity), causing him to lose honor and prestige. Because of this seclusion, he was unable to hold court and the city went rogue, with a week and a half of tax gold uncollected.

It was quite frequent that nobility and commoners of the realm worked against Hamilton Vita with foreign enemies. Imperial Inquisitor Epaminondas encouraged an Ibladeshian infiltrator to quit failing at stabbing him and pointed out the 200 gold bounty upon Hamilton's head, upon which Hamilton was quickly stabbed. The bounty had appeared overnight.

Government titles during this period were Imperial Regent for ruler, Imperial Protector for general, Imperial Inquisitor for judge, and Tribute Collector for banker. The office of Tribute Collector was never filled.

Theocracy

Upon healing from his wounds, he awoke convinced that his wife, Kaylan McDowell was a fertility goddess and began the Cult of Kaylan. As such, he reformed the government into an imperial theocracy(ooc: roleplayed and not done via game mechanics) of the Cult of Kaylan. The titles became Imperial Divine Prophet for ruler, Imperial Phallus of Kaylan for general, Imperial Ears of Kaylan for judge, and Imperial Hands of Kaylan for banker.

Soon, a Sultanate Baron, Sielo Arrassum, contacted the rulers of East Island looking for a new realm as he'd been banned. Contacted by the Imperial Divine Prophet, Hamilton Vita, Sielo agreed to join the Protectorate. Meanwhile, Hamilton ordered Perdan, Fontan, Sultanate of Asena, Westmoor, and Obsidian Islands to federate for various reasons. They all ignored him.

And shortly afterward, Hamilton Vita bought the lordless stronghold of Akesh Temple. Contacting the lords of the duchy to follow through with their oaths, all but one, a relative of the Caligan King, ignored him. The relative openly admitted to breaking his oath to Akesh Temple. Hamilton quickly appointed Kaylan McDowell as the Ears of Kaylan. Contacting the elders of Sanctus Acies regarding the Cult of Kaylan, Hamilton was informed that it was viewed as false. Therefore, he promised to burn the temple. After sacking the temple twice and closing it, the stronghold's population gained stopping working, their spirits grew bleak, and they hated their new realm. Calling out the citizen militia and renouncing his claim upon the temple, Hamilton proclaimed Randwulf Driscol as the new Duke. Then, Hamilton Vita exiled Hamilton Vita.
