The Days of Giblot
In April of 1008, the nation of Giblot laid siege to Outer Tilog City for almost a month, finally wresting it from the age-old rule by the Nation who bore it's name for time immemorial. The nation was forced to re-establish in Hilly Holes. Meanwhile the City changed hands many times over the months, and at this writing its future seems to continue that pattern. On the 4th of October 1008, the irrationally enraged tyrant of Lukon, Valast the Liar fabricated a feeble excuse to assault the glorious nation of Giblot. The brunt of his attack had to first come against the walls of this good city. His horde of minions arrived on the 9th, one day after he finally mustered the nerve to declare war on Giblot. After two days of battle the pitifully shredded attackers had to drag themselves away from the city. The next day a few hundred of the citizens of Outer Tilog City started talking of how grateful they were to be protected from the assault by the highly dignified Nobles of Giblot. During the following weeks that sentiment grew, so that after ignorant Valast's third assault on the 30th of October, 85% of OTC were proud to call themselves "Giblotian". 79% of the city were satisfied, nay, even happy with their current situation, while 93% were industriously occupied at their trades. So in an odd way the deluded hordes of angry Lukon have accomplished what years of bureaucracy have struggled toward, bringing OTC firmly into the nation of Giblot. Thank you, Valast. Now go away.
