Obtal is a region of grasslands, low hills, and small villages. The farms yield an average harvest, enough to feed the local population with some reserves to sell or trade. Lumber is a modest source of income, with the eastern border of Obtal touching the vast forests of Tapaliez. Obtal's location in the north of the main island has isolated it from most conflicts, although it has seen violence in the past from neighbouring realms. Overall, though, the culture is one of peace and solitude.
History
It is now ruled by Tenal Quasath, former Duke of Nocaneb. The people of Obtal know him well.
