Description: A Vest made from an ancient alchemical substance called "Softsteel". The vest is soft and light as leather, but at the same time it is made from metal, and protects and shines as well polished steel. The vest covers and protects the torso of its wearer but has no sleeves so arms and legs need to find other protection. It is so light and flexible that it is fully possible to wear a second suit of armour outside of this Vest.

Ancient History: The art of making Softsteel is long lost in the history of time. The alchemists who perfected the art were native on Beluaterra, mostly active in the area around the inland Lake where Fronen and Old Grehk lies today. Not a large amount of the substance was ever made and this vest is one of the few items left.

Recent History: It was found in sorry condition on an Undead Champion defeated by the adventurer Thoron in Ippetimbal, who then spent months trying to find someone who could repair it for him before passing it on to the nobility.
