Region of Mraulaxon

Mraulaxon – the breadbasket of the northeast. The rich farmlands produce much of the food consumed by the nearby regions of Niel, Orbeh and Saex. Sprawling fields of corn, wheat and rice cover much of Mraulaxon, interspersed with pastures where cattle, sheep and goats graze peacefully.

Tiny villages line the coast of Mraulaxon and their small fishing boats can often be seen plying the coast, casting their nets and checking their crab pots. The Viscount’s estates also lie on the coast near Cliffton, the largest fishing town in the region. The estate's study overlooks the beach and the lord of the region can gaze out over the peaceful blue waves of the eastern sea as he checks his accounts and writes his letters.

The south of the region is covered by the thick, primeval Forest of Wraithwalk. Tales say the forest is haunted and the locals refuse to go near it, despite the prime farming land the forest sits on. Several previous lords of Mraulaxon have attempted to cut the forest down, but every party of soldiers and woodcutters that has braved the gnarled, dense woodland has simply disappeared, eaten by the forest or its denizens.
