Religions of Akesh Temple
With Akesh Temple being the only East Continent region with a temple for a very long time, it was often used as a catchall excuse for religion. As a result there have been any number of holy orders based out of Akesh down through the years and in dedication of how much the region inspired us we may as well try to list them.
Monks of Akesh
Okay not the best of names I'll admit, but this order of monks lived in Akesh Temple and dedicated themselves to the study of martial arts, meditation and many other, real world far-east, influenced religious practices. Some may remember the Warrior Monks of Akesh recruitment centre from way back, well that was the foundation of these guys. After the destruction of the centre the Monks took a more passive role in the continent wide war, and have been offering their own brand of guidance and help to any who ask.
Things of note:
- for a time it was all the rage for new infiltrators to 'complete their training' with the Monks, usually this involved some final infiltrator test (theft, assassination, assault, harder it was the more you bragged) in the region and doing some RP. To the best of my knowledge this is not very common any more.
- famous for their healers, or at least they cropped up more than other places in RPs.
Crazy Prophets
During the time leading up to the Great Erruption there was much change, and some crazy prophets warning us all about it. For more information follow the link.
Things of note:
- fortold a massive volcanic erruption that, rose and sank islands from the sea, transformed the Great Southern Sea from a bay to a sea, and leveled Sirion Castle.
- haven't been seen since.
