Recruitment and maintenance of units

You can only hire new soldiers in the capital (Ser'quea). I recommend against hiring any right now because you have no income to pay them with later. You have to pay your soldiers every few days or they mug you and run away. Every few weeks or months you will have to repair your equipment in any city. When your equipment is very damaged (70%), your men fight over the good stuff and hurt each other.

Basic combat tactics and unit settings

When your lord assigns you to an army, you will get orders from your Marshal for unit settings. Go to ORDERS -> UNIT SETTINGS. Never use "murderous". Middle, Normal, Line is pretty standard until you hear otherwise. Also, just stay "Regular Army" because that is the cheapest. Always obey your Marshal.

Realm hierarchy, allegiance and oath

As soon as possible you should swear an oath to a lord or duke. This will be difficult, so be persistent. The dukes are your best bet. Your oath is your income. You will negotiate with your liege a share of his region's taxes. You will get this money each week and use it to pay your soldiers, hire new soldiers, etc... We are a monarchy. We have a king.

The military chain of command - armies, marshals, and the general

The General is appointed by the king. He tells the Marshals what to do. The marshals tell the rest of us what to do. Your liege will assign you to an army.

The inalienable rights

No one can tell you what class to be (except you can be told to not be a bureaucrat). No one can tell you how to vote. No one can tell you not to go to a tournament. No one can tell you what kind of unit to recruit. You cannot be punished for inactivity, and no one can tell you when to log in or how often.

"Out-of-Character"

separation between each character, separation between characters and players

Your characters are individuals. You are limited to 2 on the same continent, and they cannot send money to each other.

Make sure to change the "Message Type:" if you are saying something to a player instead of to their character. This message is "Out of character" because I am talking to you as a player about the game. Some characters may be rude, but make sure to address it in character instead of to the player.
