Maxwell Family

Origins

The Maxwells were a family of minor nobles who were originally from Anselle, Atamara. The Maxwells have since traveled making names for themselves.

The family holds tight to honor. However, there are different views on how this honor is achieved. Some wings of the family believe in a more spiritual honor while others believe in a more physical type. The arguments regarding how honor should be show is something that continues down the generations.

With the sinking of Atamara, the ancestral main home is now gone. There is a rumor that Susan's ghost protects the house against any of those who might try to destroy it under water.

Cymore decided to create a new family home in Port Raviel, D'Hara as a sign of the refusal of the Maxwells to go down with the fight. In his words, "Susan shall guard our original home until it can return. Until then, D'Hara keeps the spirit of the fight of the Maxwells well."

Susan

She started her official career as Countess of Oyonniarre after it was retaken for the Cagilian Empire. When the enemy invaded, she refused to leave and stood with the militia against them even after pleas from the enemy. She survived 4 assassination attempts and would not die. Her enemies respected her for standing tall against the odds even after their pleas for her to leave. She refused to do so as she was responsible for the people of Oyonniarre. In time, she served as Duchess of Nida, Prime Minister, and finally as Judge. She was known for voicing her opinions while walking a tight line with diplomacy.

Death: She was last seen fighting for the Cagilian Empire while the waters crashed down upon the island as it was sinking. She told her brother, Cymore to go and carry on the Family Name. Presumed Dead at 54

Angelique

Cousin to Susan and Cymore, she found herself seeking a name for herself among the family. She was known for voicing her opinion even against diplomacy. She started her career in Luria Nova. As a simple knight, she followed her Duke as a civil war broke out creating the realm known as Luria Vesperi. She rose to a lordship, Judge, and eventually as General for the realm. They fought against incredible odds to stay alive holding the realm as long as they could.

Death: She died in battle at the age of 28

Cymore

Brother of Susan. Served as a warrior for the Cagilian Empire as well as Banker. Left CE after a dispute with Torsaan and by the advice of his sister. Joined Strombran serving as a lord of a border region until the island started to sink. Emigrated to Dwilight per advice of Susan rejoining several of his former realm mates in D'Hara. Rose to Judge. There was some controversy over a ruling as he was very strict to his interpretation of the law. While the King, at the time, was rumored to agree with the decision, there were some who were opposed to it. It led to Cymore stating clearly that he was not a diplomat, but a warrior.

He ended up transitioning over to Lord Treasurer (Banker) and allowing another to take his place. This allowed him to focus more on the internal regions for a bit. He found himself desiring to be on the front line more often instead of trying to find food as often as he had to. It was a delicate balance of trying to move food around. While he did manage to get food from Madina during the early part of his term, the continent became besieged by monsters. This led to the end of the surplus of food.

When the Dragon King stepped down, Cymore stepped up to become the next Dragon King. He held onto the banker spot until he could find someone to replace him. Politically, Cymore stood for his allies and notified them of various incoming threats. Monitoring hordes of monsters became more of a rigor as Cymore watches realms across Dwilight lose region after region. He vowed to stand tall against them and show that we will not go quietly into the night.

Death: He died in Quebel on July 25th, 2017 fighting against monsters.

Rosalia

Rosalia arrived in Beluaterra with a determination to make a name of herself. Cymore and Susan were major names in the family and she didn't want to live in her shadow. She has a sense of entitlement that has come from the wing of the Maxwell family that she is from. She became the youngest Maxwell to achieve a lordship and became Praetrix (Judge) of the realm. This made her also heir to the throne of Ivory Vale of Fheuvenem. Against the Daimons, she became determined to be a major Champion for humanity. She rose to the position of Empress.

As the capitol fell, a new Empire was forged in Ete City. As Empress of Empire of the Shattered Vales, they fought against the Daimons. Then in an act that she viewed as betrayal, Duke Owain switched the Duchy containing Ete City away from the Empire to another realm. This left the Empire with only 1 region Creasur and no capitol. After fighting off rogues and trying to get the capitol to move, Rosalia emerged strongly and more defiant against the hordes and Daimons. She promised herself that she would die to defend what's right and humanity.

Under her influence, Rosalia has regained many of the original lands and brought hope to humanity in the South. She fought strong against the Daimons and the Daimon loving realms. As a follower of Daishi and a friend to Nothoi and others, she held tight to humanity's cause.

Death: She died on August 1st, 2017 while defending Ete City against Peasant Mobs during their attempted take over. She was killed by one of the Peasant Mobs.

Jim

He was lost and without goal until one day his men arrested a Priest. After punishing them for this, he looked into the faith and dedicated himself to repairing the damage found. Now, he is the Priest of The Order of the White Tree spreading the message of Ora (Priest)

Amy Cymore

After hearing of the death of her grandfather, Cymore, she decided to leave the Family Home in Port Raviel to bring honor to her family. She has taken her first estate and vows to build upon the legacy of her grandfather and family.

Andrew Jackson

After hearing of the death of his dad's cousin, Rosalia, Andrew Jackson headed out of the family home to seek adventure in the lands of Nothoi. He did not desire to live in the shadow of Rosalia, but forge his own as a military might. Having read many letters of his hero,though, he wanted to be close and with an ally of her former realm.

Amanda: Lives a quiet life in D'Hara trying to make her own mark

Antonio: Originially started his career in The Electorate of Minas Thalion. Promoted to General as the realm was being destroyed. Fled to Aren and then to Oritolon. He was one of the original founders of Halcyon. Judge and General of the realm during its first phase and served as its second Ruler. Moved on to serve as Count/Viscount of Bode Batura. He was awarded the Duke of Kvelion Olalthaes as an honor.

After the fall of Alebad, Antonio was selected as Counsul of the realm. Antonio worked on peace with Outer Tilog, long term enemies and a peace with the Dominion.
