Oficial treaties with the Moot Alliance

The Paisly recognition

For the records of the 'Moot and those who are observer members:

Madina's Grand Council has previously voted on the matter of the Paisly claim when it was first brought to our attention through the Marquess Courtinux of Madina Gardens. The Grand Council was unaware that nobles in the North believed the claim was maintained so many years after the war.

The Grand Council then investigated the claims and voted upon whether there were any remaining Claims, or if we would recognize the D'Haran claims. Once it become apparent that there were no longer any nobles in Madina who held a claim stronger than those of the D'Haran Lords and Nobles who reside there, the Madinan Grand Council voted to acknowledge that D'Hara has right to govern and protect the people of Paisly.

With this vote, whose results were forwarded to the Prime Minister of D'Hara, Madina recognized that the Paisly claim was no longer to be held; for all those Nobles who had right of claim as acknowledged by Madinan law have long since left the Republic.

Some Lords would like to see D'Hara recognize the Melodian and Madinan influence on Paisly's culture and life - no doubt something that has influenced the entire 'Moot as they were the first colonists to bring the strength of Republican principles to the West. However - that particular debate is one perhaps left best for the historians and those prone to long conversations into the night. However this recognition is not dependant upon, does not dismiss, nor alter our vote. It is merely perhaps a chance to recognize the mutual histories we further share.

On this note: The Republic of Madina would like to express the interest in the ongoings of the 'Moot - having said this we have already one member of the Caerwynian expedition who is within the Moot. We would like to formally have Marshal Helm join as a member. I believe Marquess Courtinux and Baron Halicos have also expressed interest due to the strong trade relations this would provide them along with the ability to increase the Madinan voice in the West. I believe the Ambassador has spoken to this as being an Observer nation, however I would require details on any specifics required for this status. Still, there is a great interest in Madina to see trade relations with D'Hara increase and a more formal and long lasting peace set in place due to our mutual trade.

The Barcan Claim of Evanburg

Esteemed Members of the 'Moot

Madina and her Colony will recognize the lands and boundaries of the current Barca and Aurvandil borders. The Colony and Madina both also recognize the claim Barca currently holds to Evansburg, in relation to the Evansburg treaty they have signed with Aurvandil.

However, these recognitions are warranted upon the neutral status of Barca being maintained during the Aurvandil-Madina war. Should Barca engage in open support of Aurvandil by supplying means of war; engaging in battle with the forces of Madina or her Colonies; or making hostilities against the allies of the Republic or her Colony than this agreement recognizing Barcan Land Rights is voided.
