Background
The freewoman Cara had battled beasts for a period of time on the western edge of Beluaterra. After defeating a large, particularly ugly creature, she explored the cave where it had lived. Bits of chain and bone, a few scraps of decaying meat and a pile of rags. She rummaged through the rags, hoping to find a purse of coins or maybe a charm. The rags felt cool to the touch. Lifting them, she discovered that it was a large wrap. She wore it to shield her from the desert heat of Heen.
Some time later, she was visited by a wise old man. "Ah, you have found it. The Long-lost Cloak of Ice. I haven't seen that in two generations, at least. Use it prudently." Then he wandered off over the dunes. It was later sold to the Baroness of Apokh.
