A General Steps Down

The longtime general of one of our allies has stepped down from his position and allowed another to take his place, as he had said he would earlier. Sir ][osferatu Reapers, the High Marshal of Perdan, made the choice to resign from his position of military leadership earlier today. He sent a letter to the generals of the East Continent, and a copy was made for the II:

Fellow Generals, friend and foe alike,

The time has come for me to step down from my position and let someone else fill in my shoes. I have served Perdan in her time of need. I can now step down with a clear conscience that I fulfilled my duty.

It was an honor to fight beside or against you depending on which side you chose in the past. I won't resign completely from military matters but I'll let someone else take the lead.

Friends can find me in Partora where I'm taking the Dukeship. You are welcome for a drink if you happen to be around.

I fare thee well.

Sir ][osferatu Reapers
High Marshal of Perdan

As Sir ][osferatu said, he is now the Duke of Partora and, it seems, the marshal of an army. The General of Caligus, Reona Stryfe, congratulated him on his new position, and I sent him a personal letter. It would seem ][osferatu's successor has been chosen and now appointed; this new general is none other than Lady Evangeline Uceek, who seems to have one of the longest lists of titles I have ever seen - General of Perdan, Marchioness of Bescanon, Marshal of the Perdan Strike Force... I am confident in Lady Evangeline's capability as a military leader ad strategist, and the II wishes her the best of luck.

Yet Another Execution

It is always unfortunate when judicial agreements are not upheld by our enemies and our nobles pay the ultimate price. Madlon The Cunning, one of our nobles, had originally been captured and banned from the lands of Ibladesh by their judge, a woman by the name of Sienna Firefox, about ten days ago. It seems he was captured again, and Ibladesh showed no mercy or honor this time when they executed Madlon earlier this day. Strangely enough, or perhaps not so strangely, it seems Madlon anticipated his own execution. About a day ago, he sent a letter talking about his sufferings in the brutal Ibladeshian prisons, and said something to the effect that he was "already dead". Perhaps he simply knew that Ibladesh's judge was cold-hearted and ruthless, or perhaps he came to know through some other method; regardless, he was able to send his farewells to the realm before he went. Though Madlon was not one of the more well-known nobles of the realm, his contribution was invaluable, just as those of all of our nobles are. He will be missed; may the Triumvirate watch over him as he passes into the afterlife. Farewell, Madlon The Cunning Marion.

Ridding the Continent of Some Tuchies

Igrand Bitterstein, a former noble of the realm of Tuchanon V, chose to join our realm. We're not quite sure why, but he was deported to the continent of Atamara by the wise Judge of Itorunt, Sir Ryndhal Nabarl. Shicron Guarilla, a Tuchie infiltrator, was also caught yet again by our forces recently. He was first banned from our realm just under two months ago, soon after he joined Tuchanon. Just fifteen days later, he was caught again, this time being deported to Beluaterra by the very same Judge Ryndhal. It seems he returned to the East Continent again early this year, his ban having been dissolved with his deportation. He clearly hadn't learned anything - as often seems to be the case with Tuchanon - and once again joined the realm of Tuchanon, still an infil. He was caught early last week and subsequently banned... And seems to have been caught again within the past few days. This time, however, with Tuchanon's blatant disregard for past agreements and complete lack of honor, Sir Ryndhal took more drastic measures. His relative Abdiel was forced to beg for the release of Shicron in a letter to King Lucian:

Greetings Sir Lucian Vincent, King of Itorunt, Count of Jariedma,

I write to you in out of respect for one of my infiltrators. He was captured while traveling through Tota. He was not doing anything against any of your knights, but just on a scouting mission. I would like to ask for his safe return. He was not practicing any of the dark arts but just scouting.

Respectfully

Abdiel Guarilla
Dictator of Tuchanon V, Earl of Igno

Honestly, I can't see how he can even consider that we would release him just like that after what Tuchanon did to our nobles... Not even any sort of statement that their judge had been in the wrong with the execution of several of our nobles. Judge Ryndhal had no other choice but to execute Shicron Guarilla yesterday, at the least to serve as a deterrent to other members of Tuchanon and to remind them what their realm's dishonor has cost them. Sir Ryndhal made the following statement on the matter.

Three of Tuchanon are no longer on this island. Two were sent to far lands, the other was executed in our capital.

I do not undertake executions lightly, and this was done only because Tuchanon have demonstrated, through both words and actions, that they have no honour.

Regards,

Sir Ryndhal Nabarl
Judge of Itorunt

Let us hope Tuchanon will learn from their mistakes and submit to Itorunt, however futile that hope may be.

Guenwhyvar Karstark, also of Tuchanon V, got her unit and herself captured in Xavax as she fled her old realm. While she was in prison, she sent our king a letter regarding the circumstances:

Greetings King of Itorunt. I have recently been banned from Tuchanon, which I am fairly glad of. Me and my fellow Knights of Chivalry attempted to persuade our Dictator to switch the government to a Monarchy but in response he banned two of us. In response, I tried to rally support to start a rebellion in an attempt to overthrow Abdiel but my plans were revealed. I have come here because now I realize that Tuchanon is the enemy and we should do all we can to wipe them out to the last.

Naturally, we could not simply go on her word, and so she was recently deported to Beluaterra by our good Judge Ryndhal. I doubt she will be the last seeking refuge after being exiled from Tuchanon...

Another Execution

The realm of Itorunt suffered another great loss today when it received the sad news of the death of one of our nobles. The official report follows:

Messengers bring news of a public execution in Isadril earlier today.
Geoffery, a troop leader of Itorunt, had been banned from Tuchanon V as a traitor on 2008-02-04. When he was later imprisoned, the judge of Tuchanon V decided to make him pay for his treason.

It is unfortunate that Tuchanon lacks honor as well, as they have proven before. It would seem they are no better than Ubent. King Lucian managed to use this tragedy to motivate our people against the evil that has manifested itself in the form of Tuchanon V, giving an inspiring speech to the people of Itorunt. As one of our nobles noted, "That is the only way they can win, by cowardly executing our best warriors!" Duke Fortin had some comments regarding this turn of events:

They are truly barbaric and must pay for their evil deeds. Today is a sad day. I mourn the loss of such a great soldier and Tuch V will pay for a taking such actions.

May [the Judge of Tuch V] meet his end slowly and painfully.

Fortin Wexler
Duke of Semall, Marshal of the Army of Semall

And as I'd thought for the second time in the last month, there was also an agreement with Tuchanon's judge not to execute our nobles (as they had done with Olorin as well. Judge Ryndhal kindly provided the Itorunt Informer a copy of the letter he sent to his fellow judges:

Another demonstration of a realm ignoring an agreement, with Tuchanon executing one of Itorunt's finest without even speaking to me...

That is two realms now that have shown so much dishonour that they disgust me, my realm, and many others. There will be no mercy towards either Ubent or Tuchanon now and as both of you have shown no regard for the agreement we had, I shall now take it officially that we do not have an agreement, and as such, as that agreement is no longer in effect (as of now, not as of a few days ago or this morning when you chose to ignore its existence) you can expect anyone from your realms (Ubent and Tuchanon) to be dealt with in the contempt that you have made them deserve.

Regards,

Sir Ryndhal Nabarl
Judge of Itorunt

Judge Ryndhal seems to have gotten some sort of reply from the judge of Tuchanon, and it's pretty clear about its intent; it can be found below.

I meant what I did, and accept the apparent "would be" consequences.

Eleran Perfect II
Judge of Tuchanon V

I guess Tuchanon's willing to accept its destruction... Let's hope they receive it quickly.

Dayr Gets a New Baron

Duke Fortin of Semall appointed a new lord for the region of Dayr today. The new Baron of Dayr was announced to be Thray Walsh. Duke Fortin wished Thray the best of luck in restoring the region, and both Tito Lucrezio Livia and I praised his administrative abilities and expressed our confidence that he would take good care of the region. Baron Thray also delivered a short speech thanking those who congratulated him and giving a small status update on the region. An excerpt from his letter follows:

I am grateful to Duke Fortin for restoring me to the privilege of land-ownership. I accept the responsibility that comes with this honour and resolve to execute it to the best of my ability. I would like to take a moment to thank those who offered their congratulations and goodwill. I am grateful for your words of encouragement.

The prison colony Dayr will be restored to working order soon enough. Many feel this region is too small to be productive, I am convinced, however, that I can garner more than enough revenue to support the necessary estates. I will do my best bring it back to the efficiency that was maintained by the late Lord Garrick.

Thray Walsh
Baron of Dayr

As a fellow former marshal, I myself am good friends with Thray and am fully confident that he will do well for the region. May the people of Dayr serve him loyally.

A New Lord Appointed, An Old Lord Disappears

Sir Lazarus the Valiant Keenan, the Baron of Dayr, was officially considered by government officials to be missing as of a day and a half ago, and he was removed from his position. Almost immediately afterwards, King Lucian appointed a new lord for Tota, Itorunt's first gain in the lands of Tuchanon V after having retaken almost all of our former regions that had been taken by Tuchanon. This new lord was reported to be Darg Eldreth, a loyal knight of the realm. He received many congratulations on his new position, and has served the region well so far. The II wishes him the best of luck in maintaining the region.

If you're from Itorunt, feel free to join the II.
Congrats, Darg.
Congratulations once again, Sir Thray.
Another good man lost...
Have fun dying, Tuchanon V.
Now taking bets on how long it'll take Tuchanon to become universally hated.
