Mission to Minas Ithil

A chronicle of the conversion of the people of Minas Ithil to the faith of the Way of the Warrior Saints, as recorded by Archon Major Hades Ironsides.

This chronicle is the second chapter, after the Mission to Rotherthorpe.

After the construction of the shrine in Dunstoke, Baron Dead Angel3 was captured by Eston and deported to Dwilight. In replacement, Baron Raziel III Himoura took over. He too was converted to the Way of the Warrior Saints through a private sermon by Archon Major Hades.

The Archon Major went over the same initiation ritual he performs for all new adepts of the faith who enter in his temple.

Priest Hades began the ceremony to initiate Baron Raziel III into the faith.

He detailed the beginning stories of the faith, the Holy Cataclysm, the creation of the Warrior Saints, Man's Order and Kingship, then warned of the Second Awakening.

He then explained the tenants and the ways to follow the Saints in our lives to ensure we maintain Order.

Raziel had agreed to all that was asked, and participated in the rituals and rights of the faith. The congregation then welcomed him as a brother.

Hades made his final statement,

"Baron Raziel III of Dunstoke, it is a great pleasure and an honour to receive you into the faith. May your path to spiritual fulfillment, and to obeying the requirements of the Saints give you a place in safety the day the Sleeping Father awakes and obliterates all of creation. Welcome my friend."

A bit later, when Royal Prince Dead Angel3 returned he was once again captured, this time by Norland, and was suddenly executed. His life ended nobly on February 9th 1009. The death brought a deep solace to the followers in Minas Ithil and Archon Major Hades mourned his death publicly in this way.

Fellow Faithfuls,

Let us take a moment of silence over the death of a great man. Royal Prince Dead Angel 3 was a member of our religion for a short while before he was caught up in a debacle. Now, he has been removed from life.

May the Sleeping Father make room for the Great Fallen and grant him an early rest before the Second Awakening.

Hush.

Archon Major,

Hades Ironsides (Priest of The Way of the Warrior Saints)

The next big step the Archon Major plans to take is to build a temple in the region of Dunstoke. May the Saints bless his efforts and guide his hand to preserve Order.

This aim was achieved on February 14th 1009 when Baron Raziel III built the temple of the Way in Dunstoke. It was a great occasion, and the work was welcome for the busy Archon Major.

Archon Major Hades entered the new temple in Dunstoke with pride and joy. It had been such a long effort to build this wonderful new centre of the Saints, and all credit is due to the Baron.

Be began to perform the consecration rituals all over the temple and started setting up the altars and podium for his upcoming sermons. He stood at the podium in front of a few helping hands and began to bless the room.

He spoke with excitement like a young boy receiving a present.

"May we find shelter in this temple as we follow the teachings of the Saints. May the Saints bless this temple with their wisdom and guidance. May our religion further bring Order to men of all walks of life so the Sleeping Father will remain asleep...."

And more benedictions like these.

Archon Major,

Hades Ironsides (Priest of The Way of the Warrior Saints)

The Archon Major's final success in the realm was receiving permission to preach in the city of Leohampton, permission granted by Duke Gerard Mundar. This was an important achievement for Hades for two reasons; one his wife Cimiko was native to the city (she was the one who pressured him to do it) and two because it was the first urban centre in Minas Ithil that heard the preaching of the Warrior Saints.

Unfortunately, the Archon Major caught a bad case of pneumonia in Winham and had to rush home to Rotherthorpe. He died soon after.

His life and accomplishments will be remembered.

May the Saints bless you dear readers.
