Identity of the Toprakian
Since it has always been my initiative to designate the lands about us, which inevitably led me to giving a noun to the entire landmass on the east of Dwilight, the responsibility is mine to explain the meaning behind this new collective identiy.
Toprak is situated in the eastern hemisphere of Dwilight. I further divided it into two portions, an upper and a lower, known as High Toprak and Toprak Minor. The Ironsides Line divides these portions.
The term toprak comes from an ancient tongue no longer spoken on Dwilight. In its simplest definition, it means land or ground. The abstract meanings are community, rich country, or gathering of friends. I feel that this is the most suitable term for the landmass we inhabit because of the wholesome concept it signifies. All nobles on this land from top to bottom, despite our differences, are united by the territory we share. Though Toprakians will often be enemies, we realize that we are the only enemies we have. Divided by banner, creed, and faith, united by land; this is the identity of the Toprakian.
