The Family Bastard?

Danost never met his father, who disappeared before he was born. Danost's mother died when he was young, and he barely knew her. He believes she was a common bar maid when she met Danost's father. She was probably nothing more than a night's entertainment to the dashing young noble passing through the small town. Whether he promised her anything more than a few coins for the night's company is unknown. In any event, he disappeared the next day and was never seen again.

One of the last remaining mementos Danost has of his mother is a small shred of cloth that bears the Indirik family crest. Danost's mother claims it is from a cloak she received from his father. The cloth is roughly square, approximately 4 inches across, and of a very fine, deep green cloth. Embroidered slightly off-center is the silhouette of a rampant lion worked in black thread. The cloth is worn, and has been sewn around the edges to keep it from fraying. The crest is undeniably the crest of House Indirik.

Danost's Story

The Beginning

Danost first appeared in the eye of the public while hunting for monsters in the region of Joppo, on the continent of Beluaterra. He has been known to have laid claim to being raised by itinerant merchants. His meager sword skills were learned from random guards that occasionally accompanied the merchants. After coming of age, Danost left the merchants to go in search of his father. Unfortunately, no one in the merchant company remembers where they acquired the young boy. Without nothing more a scrap of cloth bearing a family sigil, his quests looks rather hopeless. But the world is wide, and miracles do happen. Some day, Danost may be lucky enough to find word of his father, or perhaps even find the man himself. When that day comes, he hopes to be able to lay claim to his birthright and take his place among the nobles of his father's homeland.

The Sungard

Making a hazardous journey across the wild countryside claimed by the enemy realm of Mesh, Danost journeyed from Joppo to the allied lands of Plergoth. In his travels he heard mention of a guild that welcomed adventurers such as himself. Battling numerous groups of undead creatures that infested the lands he made his way to Prevos. Once in Prevos, Danost approached the guildhouse of the Sungard and was accepted into their ranks as a Candle bearer. After a few days of investigation and chasing of monsters, he took the Sungard Oath was was bestowed the rank of Seeker of the Sun. A few days later there was a great purge across the world, and all commoners were kicked out of all guilds and religions. (OOC: game mechanics changes)

The Capture, and A New Realm

Continuing his wanderings across Beluaterra, Danost traveled across Plergoth, Enweil, and Avalon. While traveling through Avalon word reached his ears that the realm of Joppo had been destroyed. Not only was Danost an unacknowledged bastard, he was now also a rogue commoner. With no way to gain the protection of a realm, he was relatively certain that his remaining days would be severely numbered.

Within a month Danost was captured as a rogue and tossed in the dungeons of Avalon. The judge of Avalon took mercy on Danost and released him from the dungeons. Upon his release Danost swore allegiance to Avalon, where he currently endeavors to rid the world of monsters and undead.

Ucdauh's Club of Suffering

In Wilwau, Danost located a sage who offered to create an item using a ceremonial dagger and a rusty signet ring. Danost accepted the offer, and was soon the proud owner of Ucdauh's Club of Suffering.

The End of the Story

During the Third Invasion of Beluaterra, Danost made a journey with his traveling companion, Calibann. In the region of Bessimir, while on the way to Nuzanki, Calibann hunted a group of undead. Attempting to follow the trail, Danost encountered a fierce Undead champion. Danost was slain.

After 3 hours, you finally find a small undead army.

They are lead by an undead champion, an evil creature with more power and intelligence than the usual lot.
You fight with zeal and strength - but the undead are unimpressed. They feel neither pain nor fear, but you do. Lots of it.
Then you give up trying to defeat them and you only try to get away - but you find yourself surrounded! There are too many of them, they corner you and then the champion comes for you. It is a hard fight, and you put down a couple of them. But it is no use. Then, you feel a sharp pain as the rusty blade of the champion enters your abdomen. You don't feel it leaving you through the other side, thankfully. He stares at you with that undead grin on his face and watches you slowly bleed to death.
You have been killed. Alone and outnumbered, you are dead.
