Hillmar
Hillmar is a rural, coastal region in the northeastern section on the East Island.
From the cold and snowy winters in the inland areas to the sunny and hot summers of the coastal shore, the citizens of Hillmar are adept at making a living wherever they live. They are a proud people and work hard to set a good example to their neighbors.
The main town in Hillmar is known locally as The Mar. Befitting it's rural setting, the real name of the town has been lost to time and perhaps is only remembered in some book in the bowels of the capital. A few hundred people call The Mar home and make their living by trade and general commerce with the occasional traveler or soldier. The vast majority of the region's citizens are farmers with a variety of crops including melons, corn, wheat and various fruits and nuts. Cattle and sheep are both raised and provide the base of the citizens diet. The citizens are known for the farming, and fishing skills all throughout the continent.
There are a few knightly estates associated with the region, the largest sits on a knoll overlooking the coastline. Its current resident is the Count Seadak Cullom, a fair ruler who oversees the sometimes rebellious inhabitants of Hillmar and keeps them in check.
It is also rumored that the region has its own private army. It became rumor that Seadak started this group after he took the title of Count of Hillmar.
The main roads from Hillmar travel to Flismar, Lissambar, and Glinmar.
