Rudolf Habsburg

Often called "golden boy" by those who are spiteful and "pearl of the Habsburgs" by his family, Sir Rudolf is the pride of the Habsburgs and dinner conversation often centers around him and his latest escapades. Although other members of the Habsburg family have done well for themselves, none seem to enjoy the uncanny success reserved for Rudolf.

Rudolf's Rise

Rudolf Habsburg began his career in Caergoth as a knight of Brakus Stien, and has enjoyed a speediant rise to power. Rudolf arrived in Caergoth during a time of great turmoil, The first king Magnus the Mighty died suddenly in battle the day of his arrival and Castamir of Umbar seized the crown under shady sercomstances. After Castimar was removed from office, Regulus Blackmore was elected and proceeded added more elected positions within the High Conclave, the highest advisory council in Ceargoth. It was this reform that allowed Rudolf to gain power quickly. Although the position of representative of the Army of Strength and the Axe was highly contested, Rudolf won the position unanimously. Thereby, Rudolf moved from a simple member of the crowd to one of the eleven voices that determine the destiny of Caergoth all within a week of being knighted in Ash'rily, and that was just the beginning.

Rudolf's political rise was quickly mirrored by his rise within the military ranks. No more than two weeks had past since Rudolf had been appointed to the High Conclave, and with his only military experience consisted of killing those who were already dead and the occasional group of monsters, Rudolf was appointed as second-in-command of the Army of Strength and the Axe. Although, that singular promotion is not uncommon, it provided him with an opportunity which might have changed the course of his life. Through a plethora of uncommon sercomstances Rudolf was called to command the Army of Strength in its larges operation he could remember, The army was called on to join with allies in an attack on Lothruin in Minas Ithil. Rudolf was able to command the Ceargothian forces to perfection, they marched in unison with their allies and all fought as one, and although this battle brought great honour to Rudolf, it was a shadow in comparison to the glory that awaited. After the battle Rudolf received comformation that his speediant rise was not by luck, for the gods revealed to him the White Aegis the symbol of the god Heimdall's protection.
