Linker Habap is a noble of Heen on Beluaterra.

Leading the "Arms"

He commanded The Silver Arms, which spent much of it's time policing Oberndorf and Oligarch for Sirion. He has fought in two major battle against Perdan, losing his entire unit and being seriously wounded in the first and losing most of his unit in the second. The Silver Arms was reduced to 2 men, but they added another 13 as they rebuilt in Sirion. Having heard rumors of monsters in Sermbar, they moved in and helped defeat the monsters. Linker lead the Arms back to Sirion to recruit more members before returning to the war, but stopped to fight some monsters. They twice travelled to Stora to fight against Avamar Selective and Kalmar Islands alongside their ally, Old Rancagua. The first time, they arrived so late that they only fought in a few slaughters that merited Linker nothing. The second time, they arrived ahead of the main army and were slaughtered.

Priesthood

In despair, Linker turned inward and sought guidance. He visited the Church of the Holy Sacred Grove in Limbar and was convinced to join. Then, he began travelling to Lissambar to join the Priesthood of the Church and preach good words to the people of the East Continent.

He spent a good deal of time as a Priest of the Church Of The Holy Sacred Grove, spreading the good words of Elune and the Holy Father at the temple in Tabost. Due to his many conversions, he was appointed Rector of the Church in Tabost. Having succeeded in converting nearly the entire population, he moved on as directed by the leaders of the Church, wandering restlessly through Sirion, but began doubting his devotion to the Priesthood.

Departure for Beluaterra

Linker has a half-uncle named Zal, who wandered to Beluaterra in search of excitement. Since "Uncle" Zal is actually younger than Linker, it didn't surprise Linker that Zal made some bad choice and landed in a Khthon prison. Upon hearing of Zal's problems, he departed for Beluaterra.

He established an estate in Heen and recruited a new unit, the "Barking Arbalests" to see how soldiering satisfied him.

Budding historian

During a campaign into Ashborn to aid Heen's ally, Sint, Linker found some old manuscripts which he retrieved for further study back in Heen:

Ah, look at this manuscript! I had always wondered about the influence of Grehkian star charting on land navigation in the deserts. This clearly shows that Latlaners were publishing scrolls on the subject over 700 years ago. The scholars in Heen City will be delighted at the discovery!

On reaching Keffa, he collaborated with the High Marshal of Heen, Thrydwulf Grancourt to publish a series of reports on the battles in Keffa: The Assault on Keffa, The Second Assault, Inside Keffa and Keffa Finally Ours. While Linker's work has mostly been in summarizing and formatting the work for publishing, he feels he may have found his niche as a historian.

Count of Ling

Linker was appointed Count of Ling on June 1st, 2007. He served ably in that role, but left to handle family matters near the end of July. He returned in mid-August and was re-appointed in mid-September.

Thoughts

Linker had great uncertainty about the slave-trader Adrian. One the one hand, Linker finds the idea of enslaving other people reprehensible, but on the other realizes Adrian has done nothing to break the law.

Talents

Linker attempted to show off at his first tournament, but with his skill levels with sword and lance both around 15%, no one was impressed. He did manage to win his first round in both events, though. One imagines that his skill has improved in the past few years, though that was before his time in the priesthood. His leadership is estimated at 15%. His preaching skill is estimated at 60%.
