Liberating Latlan

(Four undead leaders have been killing hundreds of peasants day and night behind the walls of Latlan. Another undead unit has been seen in Apokh heading for Sotrebar and most probably Latlan too. Rumours are that it is the Undead Ruler "Summoner" The Heenite's and Three monster leaders have been camped in Ling waiting for a good oportunity to reclaim the walls, trying many tricks to lure the undead out but to no avail. Earlier this morning (12th July) all the economic buildings were destroyed and recruitment centres brought down to level 1. The time had come to assault Latlan whether they had the upper hand or not.) Thrydwulf gives a speech:

The Right Time

Heen will survive, just not as we know it.

I am always mindful of the fact that our closest friends, Sint are struggling against the Daimons like Kagurati says. I wish to aid them, but i cannot while Heen is under threat. Martana's orders were to save Heen. I cannot break her orders and leave to fight alongside Sint. If only the undead would go, but they wont, so we have to fight.

We must fight now, because there might not be a tomorrow for the people we know today. We must fight, because it is our duty. Too long have we waited, and too many people have already been taken. I am aware Attila that many many nobles have been taken by the u ndead in Latlan. Too long did i wait for the right time to come, only to realise there would not be a right time (OOC: except that time the undead cheated us in Ling...).

Tomorrow will see many dead, many injured, and many tears. Bravery is seen through the eyes of another, and I will see bravery in you all tomorrow. I will see bravery, because i see Heenites, and as long as i live, i will always see Heenites. We made Heen - it is our duty to protect it as best we can. In this time of darkness, hope will come. Our friends are arriving, coming as swiftly as they can possibly travel.

It has been a very hard time for me. Many of you have been ill in the last couple of weeks, many of you not able to keep your unit out in the field to join the army, including our Queen. I have felt very alone, dealing with Monster Rulers here, Undead Commanders there, and still trying to keep our spirits up. I am still young - Hannibal pointed that one out - and it has taken its toll on my will, and on my spirit. Yet tonight, i see determination, i see pride, and i see an army of Heenites. It is not my job to fight for the realm, that is everyone's job. It isn't even a job, it is your life. You give your life for Heen in the form of service, and Heen knows that - whatever you believe.

Tomorrow we will fight for Heen, for the people of Latlan, and most of all, because we are humans. Sometimes we have to fight because it is right. Tomorrow, it is right.

When the dawn breaks: look to your neighbour, look to your comrades, look to your friends. Once you have remembered their brave faces, look to your enemy. Do not take your eyes off your targets. Fire straight, strike true and charge swift.

Most of all, look to your hearts. Be satisfied that you have lived your life for Heen, and will continue to do so.

That is all i can ask from you.
