The Fissoa Verminators is the attempt of Skyndarbau Melphrydd to establish better relationships between the Upper World of Nobles and the lower world of commoners in the Grand Duchy of Fissoa.

Foundation

The Guild's first gathering place was a common house in Munawai, adapted for it's purpose. That was in the Winter of the 13th year of Dwilight. The first members were recruited from nobility and common folk shortly after.

Purpose

Any noble knows that commoners need guidance to survive in this harsh world. A noble's guidance. In an effort to better coördinate monster hunting and undead slaying in the Grand Duchy, Skyndarbau founded this guild. The main idea is that as many adventurers as possible join the Guild, and a minor amount of Nobles for financial aid. The Verminators will send in weekly or daily reportsof their hunting activities, as well as information on forming rogue groups and bounty pots. This enables the Lords to easily be informed when their region might face an outbreak of activity soon, as well as the Fissoa Privateers to predict where monster/undead hordes will spawn.

The Adventurers start out as Newlings, and can get promoted to Cub Killers. That enables them to take their joining fee of 5 gold out of the Guild Treasury. Good service owns them promotion to Junior Verminators, and eventually Verminators. Both ranks receive gold on a monthly basis, increasing rapidly as the ranks are scaled. The ranks above are for nobles only: Exterminators are simple Noble members, whilst Coördinators get more responsabilities. They are required to pay a monthly fee to support the guild.

In exchange for their services, the Verminators receive a monthly grant, to be collected in one of several guild houses. The nobles, on their end of the bargain, donate gold on a monthly basis. In return they get easy acces to Unique Item repairs, infomation on their regions, and servants for services of other kinds. As the Adventurers are bound to the guild, risking to lose a lot, their loyalty is considered more stable.

Recent Events

Recently, problems arose between a part of the nobility and commoners. Discussions between Lord Shin Shenron and Lod Skyndarbau Melphrydd spun out of control, but for now seem resolved. Sir Rauffe de Grenefeld executed unauthorised assaults on commoners.

However, an understanding has been reached. Commoners are now protected under law, for as far it benefits the Grand Duchy. Lord Shenron has publicly asked all commoners to join the Fissoa Verminators, for that will grant adventurers extra protection. Showing their commitment to the realm, they will be safe for meaningless persecution.

The Verminators, however, will need to obtain special permission from the Lords to operate in their regions. Lords not giving their permission (but not denying Verminators' actions) will be considered to allow our guild's actions by default, 3 days after the permission request.

Here will be a list of regions whose Lords expressed their permission:

- Fissoa Fields, by Lord Eldrond Nabarl in his letter.

- Drowenton, by Lord Skyndarbau Melphrydd, Guide of the Verminators.

- Kamade, by Lord Shin Shenron in his letter.

- Munawai, by Lord Troglod Oyro, Coordinator of the Verminators in a missive

Of the regions giving permission by default:

- Fissoa

- Libba

- Nuas

- Maraba

- Palm Sea

- Maf

And of the regions denying permission. There regions are to be avoided!

- currently no regions are declared inaccessible for our Guild

Future Goals

The Guild wishes to keep on expanding. As the finances are running smooth, it is always looking for new members, especially for skilled hunters and huntresses. One day, perhaps, it will go international, sending squads of huntsmen to those realms needing assistance in possible monster outbreaks.

The tasks of the Verminators will also be expanded: as they seem to somehow travel a lot faster and more lightweight than any noble with a unit, they can be very useful scouts, spies, messengers and gold transporters.
