Background of the Fireborne Lineage

The Fireborne lineage is one that is currently shrouded in mystery. Only recently has the family risen to prominence amongst the nobles of the world, sending the young men of the family off to lead troops in battles. The family has their residency currently in Eagle's Glen, although it is unknown if that is where they are originally from. It does seem that they have a hidden agenda; one that is more important to them then any allegiance to a country.

Hero Galric Fireborne, RIP First Patriarch

Galric was the first noble to be recognized as such with the Fireborne name. How he managed to do so is unknown, but it is thought that he is actually a descendant of another, older line that is no longer found in the world.

Galric was also the first to set out on his military career, leaving the safety of the mansion in Eagle's Glen, then of Drachenwald. He had heard of a great war raging between the nations of Ikalak, Sandalak, and Taselak on some distant island, and that Ikalak was losing by a great deal. Hoping to make a name for himself, he set off for those distant islands.

When he arrived, he was immediately accepted into the Ikalakian army. There her served valiantly and brilliantly under the command of Lord Castamir, taking part in and winning many major battles. But it was at a battle at the fortress of Abykal on those islands that, when leading his troop of Archers, he was hit by an arrow from the enemy and slain. Galric, the first to set out, the first to die.

===== Chancellor Legault Fireborne ===== Second Patriarch

Legault was the slightly younger brother of the noble Galric Fireborne. He also chose to leave the relative safety and familiarity of Eagle's Glen and Atamara, setting out for the Eastern Continent. There he served nobly for Ibladesh, but after being imprisoned multiple times by an enemy (believed to be Ubent) decided that he could no longer serve a realm that could not bargain for their valuable assets, the nobles. Legault also disagreed with the state religion of the realm, though he never had the opportunity to do so openly.

When deciding where Galric was going to order him to head out to, he instead received a letter from one of Galric's bodyguards apologizing for their failure at protecting Legault's brother's life. Outraged, he immediately set out for Ikalak to avenge Galric.

Legault served under Castamir for many weeks, but the war had begun to turn sour. Galin Fireborne, his nephew and Galric's youngest son, had also showed to the Island seeking vengeance. Vengeance seemed futile however and Legault, disheartened, emigrated from the island. He had heard tales of Beluaterra and the possibility for fame and fortune, so that is where he headed.

On the continent of Beluaterra, Legault became a loyal noble of the realm Mesh.
