The city of Fianik was first settled in the 1st age by the realm of Ashborne expanding out from Firbalt city. In the 3rd age the realm of Sint was created in Fianik by breakaway group from Ashborne. Fianik remained a Sintran possession until the 6th age when Sint was torn asunder by interior dissent, secession and war, with the realm of Spearhold ending up by holding most of its former lands including Fianik. During the 6th invasion, Fianik was lost to the Daimons, and in the 7th age the city changed hands between several realms, Angmar, Angband, Gotland & Caelint. Despite periods under the sway of other realms, monsters, undead and Daimons, Fianik's culture and historical legacy is firmly from the ancient realm of Sint, and the people still call themselves Sintran.
The city has a dark history of excess by corrupt and unjust Dukes. The Ducal palace is known as "Castle Brass", a fortress displaying extensive use of brass in it's architecture. It has a gruesome history as a place where traitors are held, tortured and executed, their heads displayed on pikes on the castle walls.
