Hierarchy Bonus to Honor and Prestige

Summary

Liege lords should get a bonus to Honor and/or Prestige based on the number and quality of nobles sworn to their service.

Details

Whenever a noble gains Honor or Prestige, a smaller amount of "bonus" Honor or Prestige is given to that noble's liege lord. Vassals generate a bonus for their lord(knights for lord, lords of duchy and knights of city/fortress for duke, dukes for ruler). The effect should be subtle but noticeable over time. The bonus would be permanent and based on a vassal's new honor and prestige earned after the oath was made.

Every time one of his vassals gains H/P, the lord gains a chance to gain H/P as well. You could use a combination counter/random chance system. Start with a counter at 0. Then every time one of a lord's knights gains honor, add that total to the counter. If 5 knights each gain 2 honor in one turn, then the counter goes up by 10. Then at the end of the turn the lord has a % chance to gain a point of honor equal to the counter value. So if the counter was 10, then he has a 10% chance to gain a point of honor. If he does, the counter gets reset to 0. Do the same thing with prestige.

This should be simple to balance, as you can just apply a correction factor to the counter when calculating the chance to gain H/P.

Benefits

Liege lords should be rewarded for having successful vassals. It would give them incentive to support their vassals with gold and encouragement and would strengthen the bond between knights and their lords. It could also create some interesting conflict if lords were to start poaching promising young knights away from each other(concerns about encouraging oath-breaking). Since it is new h/p gained, it encourages interest in new nobles as vassals since older nobles don't gain as much h/p.
