Midas-icon.png Description

Abilotiel is primarily swampland at the end of the Ossaet Peninsula. Most of the shoreline is high rocky cliffs overlooking crashing waves and powerful surf. There are, however, some calm stoney beaches on the south end of the eastern shore.

The most prevalent organized religion here at last estimate was Adgharhinism, which has a small temple on the northernmost point primarily to the glory of the Adgharhin god Omorthion. The temple is the only temple built by nobility to ever stand in the region.

Government buildings are located in a small town named (very uncreatively) Lower Abilot. The traditional Baron's Manor is located a few kilometers away in Upper Abilot, though some barons have in the past chosen to build their own estates elsewhere in the region.

The economy of Abilotiel revolves mainly around the Swamp Yak, which is used for milk, fur, meat, horn and other less normal uses. Regardless of the use, Swamp Yak is a great commodity and mostly only used by the nobility. It is usually a great honour to be given a Swamp Yak as a gift, particularly one from the baron's private herd, however, some nobles do not find yaks to be favorable. Other economic powers are the fishing industry and the swamp-muck industry. (Swamp muck has a unique hardening quality when taken away from water. It can be used quite effectively as a sealer for construction).

Baenre became the major village in Abilotiel. It flourished underneath the hands of the SkullDarks both Fromir, and Robelee, were counts there for a while both shared the same manor just outside of Baenre. It flourished and even survived the great rebellion. Then with them both gone from Lasanar, a new count was named under a new Duke as well. Baron Mallory, Banker of Lasanar became the new Count and the rest is his to tell. Baron Mallory stepped down after a personal dispute with the Duke and the control was handed over to another one. The new lord fled Lasanar when confronted with charges of treason, at which time, the current Baron, Vidad Filador was given command.
