Cagilan Empire, the Beast of the West
January 17th 2008

In the underlining fabric of Atamara there is one question that determines or undermines every realm in Atamara. The question is whether a realm sides with the Cagilan Empire or is opposed to its utter dominance of the Atamaran political and geographic scene and be open to its wrath. Geographically the largest of all realms in Atamara and with the most cities, most regions, highest numbers of troop leaders and the highest population. There is no realm on Atamara that could sustain a fight with the Cagilan Empire. Nor could one have a fight with just the Cagilan Empire because it has wrapped itself in a blanket of alliances with all its neighbours and their neighbours. This clever political method has sustained itself where simply borders could not. It is most curious that the Cagilan Empire is split right down the middle by a river which is simply not a viable position to be in during a war where all your front is exposed. This exposure could cripple any realm in a war, and Cagilan's neighbours realm know it. But their borders are equally exposed and vulnerable. Leaving only one option for a realms very existence, one must ally with the Empire. If not be in Confederation with it. This is the same tale with many realms wanting to protect themselves which adds up to one great big success for the Cagilan Empire because they can now, as they do, be the most influential realm with a horde of allies who have to follow the Cagilan Empire wherever it may go, against whoever it opposes. The only realm to in recent times to openly oppose the Cagilan Empire was Abington who have suffered greatly lately. Fortunately since the fall of Abington, the newly created realms have expressed support for the Eastern alliance who have responded with peaceful relations which will flourish into mutual support for each other. Now with the East coming together and forging relations there can be no doubt that peace can last only for so long before something on a large scale erupts into a full blown continental war of massive proportions.

Theatrical Production Announced
January 15th 2008

" Dear Lords and Ladies of Falasan,

It is my pleasure to announce the production of "A Lonesome Trio" to be performed by the Theater Grey and local actors. The story follows three nobles competing for the dowry of the single daughter of the Duke of Cutpaniel. This story is based off of real events! I invite everyone to appear at the showing in Barad Gardor. The show will be in a few days, and I invite any who wish to support the production to send financial support to Tyrion or myself.

I would like to thank Ser Willem Tinsley for his patronage which has enabled so much work to be done thus far. However, I must still purchase many props and the gold I have is insufficient. I hope to see you all at the show. "

Cagilan Empire and Tara occupy Chasnoff !
January 15th 2008

The region of Chasnoff in Caergoth is currently being occupied by the joint forces of Tara and the Cagilan Empire. The force is of about 800 men. Callisto, Queen of Suville sent a letter to Vengence of Cagilan expressing her concern about the arriving force and challenged Vengence for an explanation. Currently to my knowledge no answer has been given, but Vengence has started playing his letters aggressively, associating the Kingdom of Suville as a reincarnation of Abington in his short but malice words. Callisto, however is actively trying to reason with Vengence about his actions of having Cagilan Empire and Tara troops in Caergoth. Troop leaders in Caergoth are currently moving into their capital to defend it should the Cagilan Empire have jealous eyes upon the city.

Covert Operation ?, and Accusations !
January 12th 2008

Yesterday, Sordnaz Dictator of the Barony of Makar accused Dead Angel3, King of Minas Ithil, that he had knowingly allowed foreign priests through sovereign territory of Minas Ithil. These priests then traveled into the Norland city of Barad Riel and began teaching its peoples with all intention of conversion to stir up the peasants for a Minas Ithil attack on Barad Riel. Doing so would invalidate a treaty between Minas Ithil and Norland that prohibits allies aiding either realm.

However, Dead Angel3 has responded to these claims saying he was aware the priests were in Minas Ithil, having his full consensus. But was unaware they had traveled into Norland and begun conversion of its peoples. Furthermore Dead Angel3 has informed Sordnaz that no actual treaty exists between Minas Ithil and Norland. he has also speculated Sordnaz has been looking for an excuse for entering into the Minas Ithil war to help their federated partner Norland in their war with Minas Ithil, to which they have been losing a considerable amount of ground recently.

This exchange is currently ongoing with the possibility that Falasan and Eston might join into the fray with BoM. The Falasan Inquirer will continue to report on this fiery situation.

Falasan hands Amdor back to Eston
January 5th 2008

As per the Falasan / Eston Peace Treaty, the region of Amdor was turned over by the 1st of January. Attending the ceremony were Falasan's King Reilwin Merytis, Eston's King Andrew McKay, Sir Willem Tinsley, Royal Treasurer of Falasan and Marquis of Amdor, Sir Christofer Kane, Royal Treasurer of Eston and Duke of Barad Lacirith, Sir Niccolo Den Snodaert and other sundry nobles.

The actual ceremony was brief and uneventful. The events immediately following the final signatures and handshakes were quite surprising. It seems that Marquis Willem was not properly informed of the procedure and had not yet vacated his post as Marquis of Amdor. He was immediately welcomed a the newest citizen of Eston, with all the benefits and responsibilities that come with that honor. Sir Willem looked across the table at King Reilwin. Silent words were exchanged through various shoulder shrugs, head nods and eye rollings. It was soon thereafter that Willem returned the region lordship to King Andrew and then immediately pledged his services to King Reilwin. Falasan's ruler accepted Willem's pledge and then, after consulting with his staff, re-appointed Willem to the position of Royal Treasurer.

Sir Niccolo Den Snodaert was soon presented with the title of Marquis of Amdor, a position that he had held in the past.
