History Of Eylmon

Eylmon, has had a rich history. One of the first settlements to be founded, once humanity had reached the shores of a the called Beluaterra. It was in an ideal location, to defend itself from enemies of the settlers. With the Bym river to the east, the mountainous region of Bym to the north and the lush plains of Epinotke to the west and south, Eylmon flourished. The flow of fresh mountain water provided water for the fields to grow the crops to feed the people.

The main industry in Eylmon is gold mining, as it has the rich natural resources of Bym just to the north. Many mines cut through the hill sides providing huge amounts of gold that is shipped to Eylmon to be processed into goods that are then transported down the river to the port city of Eno.

During the undead Invasions the city of Eylmon survived the ruthless onslaughts of the heathen hordes. With its prime location it could withstand sieges by being supplied from the river, and only needing to defend itself on 2 fronts. The walls of Eylmon were built high and thick to overcome the mounds of rotting corpses that build up after each undead attack.

It was not until the third invasion of the Undead, that Eylmon finally fell. When Eno was abandoned to the undead, Eylmons last link to humanity was cut. The city staved off many attacks from the undead, and it wasn't until the Dread king himself came down to take command of his ungodly forces, that the city finally fell. The citizens of Eylmon fled into the hills of Bym, or across the frozen river to find safety. Rumours still speak of peasants, who survived the fall of Eylmon, still living in the hills of Bym, still unaware of Humanities fight back against the death walkers.

Eylmon was the capital of Caras Galadhon, a realm now remembered only in the annals of history.
