In Lorient? Well, here goes...

"Once upon a time, in a land called Itorunt, it was a very quiet place. Very peaceful as well. Hardly had war with anyone! Can you believe it, not in these days of strife, oh no.

Well, there was much fighting over the contended land in Ibladesh. I know, I know. The land where your sons are sent to bleed and die at the walls.

But there was once a man, famed for his love of having men bash their heads against the rock walls of Ibladesh. That man was named Blackknight? Ever heard of him? What do you mean WAYLANDER? Oh yes, he's inept too. I see how you get mixed up. well yeah. ANyway, it was his fault.

But there was a group ofsoldiers that every Tom, Dick and Harry wanted to join up and be a part of. PMW, Perdan's Menstrual Whiners. I mean, being put in Perdan Stupid Fools (PSF) was reserved for those stupid enough not to realise it was insulting. PCW was reserved for the writers of the Perdan Newspapers, Perdans Crappy Writers you see. PGR came along, and they were ok, but they were so weak it was unbelieveable. I mean, the name says it all, Perdans Garden Rats. But I was saying about PMW?

Ah yes. Well, PMW decided they didn't like Itorunt being nice and friendly to Ibladesh, so they decided to go into the back regions of Itorunt. There they met me and my archers. Not these ones here, some other ones that I had back then.

Well, they charged up to the walls of Enubec. But we held them off. Fighting almost to the last man. But there was one little soldier there. And it's this young soldier I think epitomises Perdan.

He was a young infantry man, from right here in Lorient. His name was Johnny. He dutifully walked up to the walls and immediately got shot full of arrows.

And so the moral of the story is, don't be a part of Perdan! Or you'll end up like Johnny!"

A peasant calls out from the assembled crowd:

"Little Johnny was my boy! You killed him! You bastard! Let's get him!"

Alex mutters "Uhh, that backfired," and jummps on a nearby horse and rides out, barely noticing kris on his way past. The mob of rampaging peasants stops trying to catch Alex and attacks kris instead.

Kris of Itorunt has been seriously wounded by a lynch mob. The healers say it will be several days before he is back to normal.
