Everguard.png War Looms on the Horizon
The nobles of Everguard awoke to rather disturbing news yesterday, as word reached the Royal Court in Valkyrja that a new realm had been founded in the city of Eidulb. Sources inside this new realm say that it was founded by nobles originating from the realm of Madina, joined by some nobles who left Springdale. Apparently communications coming from Eidulb are claiming that the colony was founded as a joint venture between Madina and Springdale - though as the government officials in Everguard looked into it, they were assured by both the ruler of Madina, Grand Doge Abbot Nosferatus and Emperor Neel Arya of Springdale that the colony was not an official state action by either realm, was not approved or given their blessing, and in no way was a joint venture.

This has caused a great deal of diplomatic tension since the

news broke. Everguard has staked a territorial claim on the lands ranging from Valkyrja to the city of Eidulb, and then west to the mountain range in the center of the north west.

This provocative action has been exacerbated by the fact that no diplomatic messages were given to Everguard prior to the realm's founding. The planning and execution for taking Eidulb likely took weeks, and at no point was Everguard told - a sign that the leadership of the realm knew there would be a problem founding the realm at that location, and simply hoped that once it existed that the Guardians would allow it to stay.

That is not the case. The taking of Eidulb has drastically cut into the territory claimed by Everguard, and High King Fisc Arylon has made it plain that the colony's existence in that location is unacceptable. The noble citizens of other realms from across the continent are weary of this new colony,

believing it to be a maneuver intended to occupy territory in the north and hamper the growth and power of Everguard and any other northland in the west.

In response to this growing threat to their sovereign territory, the High King has issued an ultimatum to the fledgeling realm centered in Eidulb, ordering them to vacate the city and head for Golden Farrow, or face an onslaught of soldiers from Everguard who will wipe out any memory of their realm.

Fisc has given this new realm an opportunity to survive in a new location, and only time will tell if they will accept that condition, or if this growing threat will turn to war.

Everguard.png Tension Increases
The new colony in Eidulb has now taken Eidulb outskirts which makes it look like they are determined to expand and not go to Golden Farrow to avoid the issue of war. If it comes to war it looks like Everguard will be the obvious victor and might establish its name as a mighty military realm with this war as its cornerstone. If it seems they have made it plain that they will defy they growing power Everguard and let loose the Guardians fury on them then it will not likely be a pretty sight to behold for the massively outnumbered Eidulb colonists. No matter what it seems Everguard will have to keep a close eye on this new colony.

Everguard.png Diplomacy Triumphs
As the crisis between the new colony in Eidulb reached its zenith - it looked as though war was unavoidable. The High King of Everguard continued to refuse to back down from his demands that the colony evacuate the walls of the city and hand it over to his kingdom - while the leadership of the new realm was insistant that they would not leave. As a result, a military buildup began in the region of Gelene outskirts, and Everguard made preparations to assault Eidulb and remove them by force. But in the 11th hour, back channel communications between the future Queen Delia Sosiskiy and Fisc resumed diplomatic negotiations, and made progress toward a peaceful settlement. After intense discussions, Delia agreed to remove the presence of her colony from the city, and move to the city of Golden Farrow, far from Everguard that will provide each realm with mutual security. The agreement is being hailed as a triumph, and a major accomplishment for the High King. While Everguard is built upon a fierce warrior culture, at this point in her history, it prefers to cleanse the west of monsters infesting their lands and avoid conflicts with the race of men - at least for now.

Everguard.png Ygg d'Razhuul Lost!!
After a very difficult period of time in the frontier region of Ygg d'Razhuul which saw hordes of monsters overwhelming the local population, the people of that region did revolt from the control of Everguard, declaring themselves independent. While the unhappiness of the peasants of the region is understandable, this political subversion of the Emerald Crown will not be tolerated. High King Fisc Arylon issued a statement to the peasants of Ygg d'Razhuul, informing them that the full military power of Everguard would be descending upon their region soon, and they would be well served to capitulate and return to the realm. The High King intends on leading the recapture of Ygg d'Razhuul personally, hopefully completing it quickly.

Everguard.png Second Phase of Everguardian Expansion
Once the region of Ygg d'Razhuul is back under the influence of the emerald sheild, sources indicate that the High King wishes the realm to begin its second phase of expansion. After growing quickly and planting the battle flag in six regions, Everguard apparantly has its eyes on nearly doubling its size. Both the High King and the Marshal of the Phoenix Guard are in command of massive groups of men, and sources within the Royal Court indicate that the realm plans to extend its grace to the regions of Zareth, Sabadell, Ammando, Eidulb Outskirts and Eidulb, which would bring the total size of the realm to 11 regions. This is apparently a top priority of the Royal Council, who wish to expand Everguard's influence and make it known to the world of Dwilight that it is not simply a small colonial power, but indeed a major power on the continent that must be reckoned with. At this time, apparently controlling territory is more important to the realm than investing in infrastructure which the High King plans on undertaking once they control a vast stretch of land. The Royal Court believes once the regions are under their command, infrastructure development will be easier, and more effective than if they were simply taken and developed one at a time.

Only time will tell if this strategy proves to be ultimately successful, but none can doubt that Everguard will pour all of its resources into this effort.

Everguard.png Evarguard's Capital Moved to Gelene
Celebrations were abound the realm of Everguard today as the High King Fisc Arylon placed his seal upon a royal proclamation ordering the construction of a new Royal Palace in the city of Gelene - officially making that city the new capital city of the realm. Gelene is now known as The Emerald City, as Valkyrja was before it - and soon the governmental offices of the kingdom will be moved, making the proclamation official. Duke Hackem de Struct has ordered a great feast and celebration to welcome the news. Across the realm, the peasants have met the announcement with some skepticism, but it is expected that they will soon accept the move. Production across Everguard has taken a sharp hit as the nobles and peasants of the realm frantically work to begin construction on the new palace, which will hopefully be completed in short order.

Everguard.png Rumors of Southern Daimons
Recently there have been indications that there is a dark presence in the south-west of Dwilight, namely in the area surrounding an area whispered about by the Eidulbian peasants, the Ruins of Walfurgisnacht. Actual facts are hard to come by, but the Visionary has confirmed that there is a being known as Haktoo which claims lordship of the black land, and he may be a Daimon. Details will follow as they are uncovered.
