History
Created centuries ago by Nocaneb, an opponent of old Athios, the general of Nocaneb's army wielded this weapon against Athios in many campaigns. Able to slay entire companies of men with a single swing, it was Nocaneb's ultimate weapon against the northern coast and they used it with abandon. They wiped out entire towns with the weapon, until the Athions sucked Nocaneb into a trap in an abandoned town deep inside a valley. The Athions toppled an entire hillside onto the town, burying it and the soldiers of Nocaneb under hundreds of tons of rock. The Enchanted Scythe of Slaying was lost to time and passed into legend.
Current Events
Crystal Pryde, claiming to be of the Pryde Family, she left Foda and her native Tara for the land of Arcachon in the Far East two years ago to "seek adventure and money in foreign lands". Others say she ran to escape a debt. Whatever the truth of her origins, she claims to have recently unearthed the Enchanted Scythe of Slaying while while hunting a group of undead in Athios. She tells the story of how she hunted the king of the undead, the general who wielded it all those centuries ago, and stabbed him to death after a long and horrible fight to anyone who will buy her a drink.
When asked to prove her claims, she shows off a scythe with some very interested inscriptions on it, but has never used it. She says she has no interest in killing people, only monsters, but many wonder if she is just looking for fame in any way she can, including making up stories and artifacts.
