Elemental Scroll of Batesaor

Origin

Many chapions from accros the glode search for the elemental scrolls. They were made by great sages of ages past, while they aren't much to look at you should not underestimate their power.

The Elemental scroll of Batesaor was created by the Arcsage of Batesoar. When he died, it was placed inside his tomb. Years past and monsters came along. The guardians of the cemetary were overwelmed and the tomb was robbed. One vile Alpha Monster took with him the sacred scroll.

He tried to fled but was chased by a skilled hunter. Minsc Outcast of the pelgrim famely chased him down and forced him to stop and fight. A long and perilous battle ensued. All the monsters fell except the alpha monster.

The 2 combatants stormed at each other. Claws met axes and in a rain of blood the monster dropped dead beside its kin. Minsc recovered to scroll and brought it back to the city. Now it only needs a new owner.

Meaning

The scroll itself is black, and on it there are strange red markings that form unknown symbols. These symbols may be a forgotten language or ancient hieroglyphics; if so, their meaning is unknown. Scolars thin it might contain part of the defence plans of the city. Secret pasages that were build long ago. But only a studied Sage could tell more. Or a wel educated Noble.
