This is to be the first direct encounter between the forces of Xinhai and Libero Empire in the war between Xinhai and the Triple Alliance (Libero Empire, Raivan Empire and Aquilegia). Xinhai had most of it’s military in the south, fighting against Aquilegia, when the Raivan Empire and the Libero Empire attacked Nimh and Bohai. Xinhai had to organize quickly its armies and push to the north and intercept the invaders who were trying to takeover the occupied regions. It eventually happened, Xinhai's forces met the Libero Empire in Bohai on the Spring of 8 YD .

First of all, let me introduce you the two armies. I have analysed the battle reports my sources gave me and I consider them very accurate. Xinhai's forces had exactly three hundred and fourteen infantrymen, two hundred and thirty-two archers and one hundred forty-three Special Forces. Libero Empire soldiers were mostly based on infantrymen (three hundred and fifty-four), they had one hundred and fourty-eight archers, some mixed infantry, horsemen and special forces.

The weather on the battlefield was excellent for the archers, which was a big plus for the Xinhaian forces. Xinhai forces deployed their archers on the front lines while the infantrymen were waiting for the upcoming enemy. Libero Empire's soldiers had a pretty structured formation (Infantry Wall): their infantrymen on the frontlines, some archers in the middle, followed by the Special Forces and the horsemen.

The battle began with the advance of the Libero Empire army. Xinhai's archers started firing. Something strange happended as the Libero Empire infantry split in half one still advancing towards the enemy’s archers while the other waiting in the back. As the Xinhaian infantrymen went to support their fellow archers the first wave of Libero infantrymen were already slaughtered. It did not took too much time for Xinhai to eliminate Libero’s infantry and to continue their rampage on the enemy’s archers and cavalry.

In conclusion, the Libero Empire lost the battle. We can consider their lack of cavalry and archers one of the reasons for their loss, but poor organisation and the lack of battlefield tactics could have also played a role in the defeat of the Libero Empire.
