The Conquest of Thulsoma

Facts for this conclusion were collected by me, and thanks always goes out to Grandmaster Bustoarsenzio Peristaltico for his regular contributions, and to former Mistress Haruka Vanimedle'.

After four long years of war, the mighty Saxons were finally defeated. The Libero and Morek Empires had besieged the stronghold Storms Keep enough to reduce its once incomparable fortifications to nothing allowing the Kingdom of Summerdale to takeover the capital.

It was only shortly before the takeover that the Summerdalians even declared war on the Saxons, but, though I do not have a lot of facts to support this, I believe they were growing increasingly antagonistic towards the Saxons over the years. From what I remember of my time with them, they felt the behavior of the Saxons was inexcusable and there may also have been an incident or two between the realms to cause the distancing. Ultimately, the Summerdalians swept in at the Saxons most vulnerable moment and ended them in the Spring of 13 YD. Not too long after, Duke Wesleth Hobbs built a temple to the Bloodstars, thus declaring victory for the Crusade.

Despite the success of the Crusade against Thulsoma, Dwilight overlooks this significant moment and gazes at much grander events. War still continues between Averoth and the Morek Empire, a war that spawned during the war against Thulsoma, and new enemies enter the fray. Astrum and Corsanctum battle Averoth bitterly, and most recently, after the secession and reunification of the Duchy of Aegir, Caerwyn and Madina declare open hostilities against all Astromancer realms. This last event may be caused by the diaspora of the Saxons to these realms or perhaps because the realms of Dwilight have grown angry over the obsessive militancy of Astromancy. Meanwhile, Summerdale and the Libero Empire have gone to war over the region Torrents Breath and over claims to Storms Keep.

These wars, however, belong to their own historical series.
