Fact Correction from Grandmaster Bustoarsenzio Peristaltico

Letter from Bustoarsenzio Peristaltico

Dean Bowie,

I feel the need to correct your article, for there is a wrong statement there.

You reported that

"While the Libero Empire succumbed to the walls of Storms Keep, crusaders from the Morek Empire made their way to Thulsoma on behalf of their faith. I believe Allison Kabrinski led an army to Northnastrond to raid and pillage Torrents Breath and Storms End."

This is not true. The events took place as follows:

Libero was besieging Storms Keep without conviction, and suddenly the allies of Thulsoma, namely Summerdale and Averoth, showed up and helped them. The first directly attacking the Libero Troops while the second remaining in the area and garrisoning the former Thulsoman regions.

The combined armies of Summerdale and Thulsoma pushed the Liberoans back till Mt.Black Nastrond, winning there and threatening to take it over.

It was then that I decided to help our ally Libero, for Mt.Black has been a region of the former Old Morek and rightfully belong to them. I clearly stated my intention only to garrison Mt.Black, where troops belonging to the Duchy of Muspelheim deployed in a defensive stance. There was no formal declaration of war from Summerdale, and we did not declare war either at that moment. No battle was fought there, for the Thulsoma were refitting and Summerdale acknowledged my position and withdrawn from the war.

It is back then that an army from the Duchy of Aegir, led by Lady Allison, decided to push forward in the name of the crusade, but I denied them the right to. Because of that, they entered only Summerdalian territory to hunt for you, pillaging your region but then withdrawing in time. No Thulsoma region was ever harmed by a Morek noble before my formal declaration of war, of this I can be sure.

About sir Gilles, I am still not convinced that he was caught during an action the Thulsoman claim he did, and a ban was existing on his head due to previous service in the Thulsoman realm, not because of sabotage activities he was found guilty of. That is the main reason I considered that act brutal and savage, mainly.

Aside from these details, you did a great work as always my friend. I was expecting it, congratulations.

With respect,

Sir Bustoarsenzio Peristaltico

Grandmaster of Morek Empire, Duke of Muspelheim
