January 31

Axewild, Day

Axewild is an amazing boring region. It has a small population of next to nothing. With my men here the population has gone up by about 30%. That's how small this town I'm currently in is. Somehow they manage to make crops grow here though, some kind of strange crop I've not seen the likes of before. Other than that, it's a pitifully poor region. Barely worth the time to take it over.

February 2

Desert of Silhouettes

This desert is a god forsaken place of constantly shifting sands and hellish temperatures. The only feasible reason to take this area is for strategic value, that's it. Any other reason would be negligibly intelligent. Strangely, there are a number of ruined temples here. The locals tell ghost stories about them, some of their stories including details on extensive underground catacombs. These stories warrant further investigation. I may decide to return here later.

February 3

Sallowwild, Night

It is good to have finally escaped those temperatures, though after losing my unit, Faustus and I decided to take on some of the local garbs. Wearing these we look more like nomads that wander the badlands. This made investigating the locals a bit easier, and this region seems to have more potential than the desert around it. The locals are a strong bunch, mostly working to keep the deserts from encroaching on the farmlands they desperately work to feed the city to the south west.

Sallowtown, Day

Being dressed in the garb of a badlander has made things a bit more easy to find out. The people here still seem as welcoming as those in the lands around the town, but the economy here is far more profitable. I have a feeling this is more likely due to the trade with the islands rather than anything found around the city itself.
