More Trouble for Springdale November 30, 2008
In the opening days of a war with Springdale on one side against Morek and the newly formed Virovene, Springdale has suffered another vital blow. With Springdale still rocking from the secession of Muspelheim that formed Virovene, another secession has struck at Springdale. When the Muspelheim and it's duchy seceded, the duchy of Aegir was cut off from the parent realm of Springdale. Duke Edward Raiva of Aegir decided to take the opportunity to carve out a realm for himself. Thus was born the new tyranny of the Raivan Empire. The small, three region realm is shielded from the parent realm of Springdale by the realm of Virovene. The combination of the two secessions has cut the number of regions controlled by Springdale in half. It is not yet known if the Raivan Empire will aide Virovene in it's struggle against Springdale. It would make good tactical sense, as the fall of Virovene would put the Raivan Empire squarely in the sights of the recovering Springdale. As more information becomes available, we'll make sure to pass it along.

The Northern Conflict Escalates November 26, 2008
The Conflict in the north of Dwilight featuring Springdale and the new realm Virovene has escalated as Morek, Springdale’s southern Neighbour, entered the conflict today, vowing to protect the fledgling Theocracy from being reclaimed by Springdale, who view the recent secession as an act of open rebellion by the new Kaiser, former Duke Cato De La Fere.

Both Morek and Virovene are theocracies following the same religion, that of Sanguis Astroism, and so have much in common following their culture and day to day beliefs.

It remains to be seen if the other main theocracy dedicated to the Bloodstars, Morek’s sister realm of Astrum, will decide to go to war along with their fellow believers, or decided that they should strive toward peace, avoiding what may become a bloody conflict.
