Deytheur Family/Elisedd

Elisedd is somewhat of a lone figure and never felt at home in Mimer, somewhat contemptuous of his parents flight, he was determined to leave and use his strength of will to spread his families fame. He and Siana left together, with their father's blessing to gain fame and fortune elsewhere. Siana first found Ibladesh but Elisedd wanted a country not ruled by religion and so he traveled on. He heard from his sister that the realm of Sirion was embroiled in many wars and many huge battles happened there and so that is where he settled.

When he learned of the Elvish inhabitants he was fascinated, especially given his resemblance. He himself looks rather Elvish, he is tall and slim with piercing green eyes, suggesting maybe somewhere in the past of his family there were elvish relations. He thus feels at home in Sirion and is happy to stay and fight for her. When it comes to war he is detached and logical and takes grim satisfaction in every victory. He is a lot warmer to those he feels closer to, or has very great respect for and in front of these people may very occassionally show his youthful enthusiasm.

When Sirion took control of Montijo from Fontan he moved his household from Parm to help Lord Ivo Merseult take care of the region and he acted as his Steward. Sirion then used Montijo to stage a rather successful campaign against Fontan. They used a burnt earth strategy against the surrounding Fontanese regions and put Fontan on the back foot. He was appointed as Count or Commonyr but with the knowledge that they wouldn't be able to hold it, he was tasked only with demolition of the military infrastructure of the region. He withdrew with the rest of the army and Fontan soon retook Commonyr. He acted similarly in Al Amarah and Negev causing the Caligan Courier to call him the 'Terror of Sirion'.

Elisedd was appointed Vice Marshal of the Glinmar Light Raiders but never really got on with the Marshal. This and quite a lot of bad luck which he interpretted as the Goddess Elune turning away from him, eventually led to him making up his mind to leave Sirion. He decided to move to Caligus (an ally of Sirion) where is now Marshal of The Caligus' Golden Talons.

Roleplay from Elisedd Deytheur
Elisedd had been tired lately. An infection had kept him abed for a week but as soon as he was able (if not before) he had donned his mail, found some more men to follow him and rushed for the battlefield again.

He knew his realmates were in Enubec and he knew he must rejoin them and that was when he made his first mistake. Despite receiving many scout reports he didn't look at them and didn't realise there was an Ibladeshian blockade between in Abadan. He ended up walking straight into them causing the loss of 20 men and suffering a light wound.

When he regained consciousness after that he was still surrounded by Ibladesh troops. They were also in Leibo and Igno, blocking his passage. With 35 wounded men he knew he had to get out of Abadan but he didn't really want to go too far in the wrong direction. With his wounded in tow he eventually decided it was best to head for the Mines of Isadril and they started down the very long road.

The next evening he decided that it was best to turn around so that he could keep an eye on the forces in Abadan.

They crept closer, sticking to the trees, determined to avoid anyone else they came across. They had their cloaks drawn about them and their blades muffled. As the sun slowly rose over the surrounding farmland he realised he had made his second mistake of the week. Ahead of him was the unit of Count Aedan, bravely standing between a group of peasants and several lines of Ibladeshi soldiers, their steel glinting in the early morning sunlight.

Even with his men they would be outnumbered three to one. They had no choice but to join their brethren in the face of the onslaught. As Ibladesh advanced a cry went up and some pointed towards them. Even if they hadn't been spotted, to run would be highly dishonourable. And with such favourable odds Ibladesh wouldn't let them evade.

Elisedd watched as the charging Army of Ramsus Protectors thundered over Aedan's Lone Sentries. Like blades of grass they were trampled and cut down as Ibladesh crashed around them. Lord Aedan was the only man left standing as Ibladesh cannoned through his unit and into the peasants. But he too soon fell to the dirt as Ibladesh's archers followed at point blank range.

Ibladesh made even quicker work of the peasants, without proper armour or weapons there was little to stop blades hacking straight into flesh and now he and his men were close enough to smell the blood in the air and watch as the cleaved corpses collapsed into the churned mud underfoot.

And then the wall of Ibladesh was upon them. Within minutes they were overrun. His men died bravely but they died all the same. They took down a few but the Ibladesh pack surrounded them, baying for blood.

Soon it was just him and his captain left, surrounded by the bloodthirsty Ibladeshi horde. His Ibladeshian counterpart, the Marshal of the Army of Ramsus Protectors, strode forward and the other soldiers moved back a fraction, giving their leader a little space. Elisedd shifted his grip on his sword but it felt wrong in his hand - he had entrusted his beloved Doomed Nightblade of Parrying to an adventurer for repairs. He knew this was it, there was no chance of escape. Galvez advanced as the surrounding Ibladeshis jeered and taunted.

He stepped in front of Captain Dirk and squared up to the Marshal himself. He knew it was a lost cause though, the Ibladeshis were merciless, spurred on by their inevitable victory. They wouldn't be able to get away. Galvez swung his sword around a little and came even closer, until Elisedd was forced to bring up his blade. He fended off a few more swings but he was always on the defensive.

He steeled himself not to give up any more ground, not to step backwards and to just keep bringing his blade to meet his opponent's. But something did not feel right, he was not his best. He was detached from everything, it was as if someone else was controlling his physical actions and he felt no emotion and he was calm as Galvez's blade pierced between his breastplate and pauldron.

"Well brother, time to go"

Elisedd looked at the Priest, "You know I had some doubts that the Hall existed!" the Priest smiled, "It is real Brother"

The scene was of the funeral of Elisedd. It was short and simple handled with a minimum of fuss. Many though did take time to speak, all great things about a man killed in battle.

"Come, it is time to go. They will break soon and go back to war. I am sure you wish you could join with them? but your time has come to an end now is a new beginning" Elsiedd looked a little puzzled, "Priest, how can this be a new beginning I am dead!!" the Priest smiled,

"Well of course you are dead, but that does not mean your work is at an end. We live in a world were monsters and undead roam looking to see the end of man, here is no different except they are stronger, the Hall needs protection and you and others will protect it." as if all of a sudden they were at the Hall.

"I cannot enter with you brother, inside you will be told all you need to know" Elisedd looked inside he could see those fallen in battle before him, slowly he moved forward and entered the Hall. From outside the Priest could see many rising cheering as he did, Elisedd was home.

Within minutes of his death he was avenged of a sort.

You set out on a mission to take out Iratus Galvez, Marshal of the Army of Ramsus Protectors. You manage to sneak into his sleeping quarters unnoticed. Your target is quick and attentive, and spots you in time. You have no choice but to fight him one on one. You quickly put him down for good, seriously wounding him before you make your escape. You were spotted and clearly identified, but you managed to get away.

As your deeds become known throughout the lands, your honour drops 3 points.

I wanted to hold my blade for a little while more before revealing to Ibladesh that I am capable of assassination. But I cannot hold my anger after this particular person killed such a loyal and intelligent subject of our realm.
