Dekat Family

The Dekat family is a young noble family. The grandfather of the current nobles, Gialon, Gemal and Anevaig, being the first to receive a noble title. The grandfather of these three, named Giles, was born on the east continent. He lived as a trader in the lands currently occupied by Itorunt. Thinking ahead and clever investments in wood and food at the right times made him a rather wealthy man swiftly, then, as Beluatera was discovered, he sailed there.

He settled in the lands currently occupied by Avalon, expanding his trading emporium, gaining further wealth. However, as rumours of undead activity and a looming invasion by the undead hordes increased the by now wealthy man set sail, with his fortune, to the far east.

There he settled in the city of Ortedail, settling down slightly in his trading emporium, looking for ways to solidfy the things he'd gained over his life for his children. He had two sons and a daughter, seeking a noble title, something to last the family.

As the secession wars began Giles saw his chance, he took a risk like he had before, and one that paid off. He pledged support to the grand lodge of Lunaria, his fortune used to help strengthen the walls, supply food to the inhabitants of Ortedail, and weaponry for the soldiers.

After the war was won, for his support, Giles was granted an estate on the outer edges of Ortedail, close to Azohib, and he was named first lord of the Dekat manor of the Dekat family.

However, the by now old man had little time to enjoy his newfound title, dying a mere year after gaining it. His eldest son, Gialle, inherited the title.
